Rarities today comprised the White-winged Scoter, Hooded Merganser, and Richardson's Cackling Goose all still in County Mayo, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Baikal Teal in Gwynedd, American Herring Gull reported again in County Cork, both Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in both Kent and Somerset, King Eider in Cleveland, and Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Surrey. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), two each of Pallas's Warbler, Yellow-browed Warbler, Green-winged Teal, and Glossy Ibis, three of Surf Scoter and American Wigeon, seven Ring-necked Ducks, 14 Shorelarks, and a total of 38 Waxwings. |
