The highlight of the day was a Hume's Warbler identified in Somerset at Compton Dando whilst other over-wintering individuals remain in both Kent and Norfolk. Rarities elsewhere comprised the White-winged Scoter still in County Mayo, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Baikal Teal in Powys, Pallid Harrier and two Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, three Penduline Tits together in Kent, King Eider in Cleveland, Kentish Plover in Somerset, and Lesser Scaups in both Somerset and Surrey. Scarcities included Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), American Wigeon (Somerset), Yellow-browed Warbler (Lancashire), Kumlien's Gull (Cambridgeshire), two each of Ring-billed Gull, Lapland Bunting, Green-winged Teal, and Black Brant, 11 Ring-necked Ducks, 17 Shorelarks, and a total of 37 Waxwings. |

New today was a Lesser Scaup identified in Surrey at Staines Reservoir. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the White-winged Scoter and Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Baikal Teal in Powys, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher, and three Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Kentish Plover and Lesser Scaup in Somerset, and three Penduline Tits together in County Cork. Scarcities included Common Rosefinch (Dorset), Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), Surf Scoter (Conwy), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), two each of Ring-billed Gull, American Wigeon, Ring-necked Duck, and Green-winged Teal, seven Glossy Ibises, 16 Shorelarks, and a total of 54 Waxwings. |

Rarities today comprised the Double-crested Cormorant still in County Leitrim, White-winged Scoters in both Lothian and County Mayo, Laughing Gull in Devon, Baikal Teal in Powys, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, three Penduline Tits together in County Cork, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Western Isles, and Ferruginous Ducks in both Norfolk and County Tyrone. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Rough-legged Buzzard (East Sussex), Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), Kumlien's Gull (Cambridgeshire), two each of both Sabine's Gull and Yellow-browed Warbler, three of Ring-billed Gull and American Wigeon, four Green-winged Teals, eight Glossy Ibises, 13 Ring-necked Ducks, 21 Shorelarks, and 27 Waxwings. |

| A Lesser Scaup was a new discovery today on the Somerset Levels.
Lingering rarities still present included the Baikal Teal in Powys, Isabelline Wheatear and Laughing Gull in Devon, three Penduline Tits in County Cork, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, White-winged Scoters in Lothian and County Mayo, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, King Eider in Cleveland and Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford. Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Pallas's Warbler, two Yellow-browed Warblers, 19 Shorelarks, 28 Waxwings, a Black-bellied Dipper, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, 11 Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, two Black Brants, four Taiga Bean Geese, a Lady Amherst's Pheasant, four Glossy Ibises, three Grey Phalaropes, two Little Auks, a Ring-billed Gull, two Sabine's Gulls, two Glaucous Gulls, three Iceland Gulls and a Kumlien's Gull. |

Discoveries today included a Black-throated Thrush in Nottinghamshire at Newark-on-Trent, an Arctic Redpoll in County Mayo at Tarmon, and a Long-billed Dowitcher in Cheshire at Burton Mere; the latter perhaps the individual present there on 21st-29th October 2022. Rarities elsewhere comprised the White-winged Scoter still in County Mayo, Isabelline Wheatear and Laughing Gull both still in Devon, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, two Penduline Tits together in County Cork, Arctic Redpoll in County Antrim, King Eider in Cleveland, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), American Wigeon (Orkney Isles), Rough-legged Buzzard (Shetland Isles), Snow Goose (County Tipperary), Yellow-browed Warbler (Oxfordshire), two Black Brants, four Green-winged Teals, nine each of both Ring-necked Duck and Glossy Ibis, 13 Shorelarks, and a total of 30 Waxwings. |

Scarcities included Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), American Wigeon (Orkney), Yellow-browed Warbler (Oxfordshire), three Green-winged Teals, seven each of Ring-necked Duck and Glossy Ibis, 13 Shorelarks, and a total of 44 Waxwings. |

Rarities elsewhere comprised White-winged Scoters still in both Lothian and County Mayo, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Isabelline Wheatear and Laughing Gull in Devon, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher, four Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Penduline Tits (2) in County Cork and East Sussex, Arctic Redpoll in County Antrim, and King Eider in Cleveland.
