Lingering rarities seen today included the Laughing Gull in Devon, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Forster's Tern in County Galway, two Penduline Tits in County Cork, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher, Hume's Warbler and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk and Kentish Plover in Somerset.
Scarcity highlights included two Yellow-browed Warblers, 14 Shorelarks, 42 Waxwings, a Surf Scoter, two American Wigeon, four Green-winged Teal, ten Ring-necked Ducks, two Snow Geese, six Tundra Bean Geese, a Lady Amherst's Pheasant, two Grey Phalaropes, a Little Auk, a Pomarine Skua, a Sabine's Gull, three Ring-billed Gulls, six Glaucous Gulls, six Iceland Gulls and a Kumlien's Gull. |

Discoveries today included a Black-throated Thrush in Nottinghamshire at Newark-on-Trent, an Arctic Redpoll in County Mayo at Tarmon, and a Long-billed Dowitcher in Cheshire at Burton Mere; the latter perhaps the individual present there on 21st-29th October 2022. Rarities elsewhere comprised the White-winged Scoter still in County Mayo, Isabelline Wheatear and Laughing Gull both still in Devon, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, two Penduline Tits together in County Cork, Arctic Redpoll in County Antrim, King Eider in Cleveland, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), American Wigeon (Orkney Isles), Rough-legged Buzzard (Shetland Isles), Snow Goose (County Tipperary), Yellow-browed Warbler (Oxfordshire), two Black Brants, four Green-winged Teals, nine each of both Ring-necked Duck and Glossy Ibis, 13 Shorelarks, and a total of 30 Waxwings. |

Rarities today comprised the White-throated Sparrow still in Cheshire (and still inaccessible), White-winged Scoter still in Lothian, American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Baikal Teal in Powys, Isabelline Wheatear and Laughing Gull both in Devon, Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, King Eider in Cleveland, Arctic Redpoll in County Antrim, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll. Scarcities included Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), American Wigeon (Orkney), Yellow-browed Warbler (Oxfordshire), three Green-winged Teals, seven each of Ring-necked Duck and Glossy Ibis, 13 Shorelarks, and a total of 44 Waxwings. |

The highlight of the day was the discovery of a male Baikal Teal in Pembrokeshire at Llangorse Lake; the first record for Wales. Rarities elsewhere comprised White-winged Scoters still in both Lothian and County Mayo, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Isabelline Wheatear and Laughing Gull in Devon, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher, four Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Penduline Tits (2) in County Cork and East Sussex, Arctic Redpoll in County Antrim, and King Eider in Cleveland. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Ring-billed Gull (Clyde), Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), Sabine's Gull, Great Grey Shrike, and Black Brant (Hampshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Oxfordshire), Kumlien's Gull (Cambridgeshire), three American Wigeons, four Glossy Ibises, five Green-winged Teals, six Ring-necked Ducks, 13 Shorelarks, and a total of 30 Waxwings. |

Rarities today comprised White-winged Scoters still in Lothian and County Mayo, Isabelline Wheatear, Laughing Gull, and Eastern Yellow Wagtail in Devon, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher, and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Black Scoter in Northumberland, three Penduline Tits together in County Cork, Coues's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, King Eider in Cleveland, and Bonaparte's Gull and Arctic Redpoll County Antrim. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler and Great Grey Shrike (Kent), Serin (Cornwall), Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), two Kumlien's Gulls, three each of Ring-billed Gull, American Wigeon, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Lapland Bunting, 10 Ring-necked Ducks, 12 Glossy Ibises, 19 Shorelarks, and 27 Waxwings. |

Lingering rarities seen today included the Isabelline Wheatear, Eastern Yellow Wagtail and Laughing Gull in Devon, Arctic Redpoll and Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Hume's Warbler, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher and two Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, White-winged Scoter and Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, King Eider in Cleveland, Lesser Scaup in Western Isles and Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford.
Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Great Grey Shrike, four Yellow-browed Warblers, 12 Shorelarks, 16 Waxwings, two Surf Scoters, two American Wigeon, four Green-winged Teals, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, a Black Brant, four Tundra Bean Geese, 50 Taiga Bean Geese, a Lady Amherst's Pheasant, four Glossy Ibises, three Grey Phalaropes, two Leach's Petrels, three Little Auks, a Great Shearwater, a Long-tailed Skua, four Pomarine Skuas, four Ring-billed Gulls, six Iceland Gulls and seven Glaucous Gulls. |

Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, three Yellow-browed Warblers, two Little Buntings, two Great Grey Shrikes, 15 Shorelarks, 19 Waxwings, four Glossy Ibises, a Rough-legged Buzzard, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, two Black Brants, four Tundra Bean Geese, up to 178 Taiga Bean Geese, a Little Auk, a Great Shearwater, six Glaucous Gulls and 11 Iceland Gulls. |

The highlight of the day was a Black-browed Albatross that flew past St Ives Island, Cornwall in the afternoon. Rarities elsewhere comprised White-winged Scoters still in both Lothian and County Mayo, American Herring Gull again in Cornwall, Laughing Gull, Isabelline Wheatear, and probable Eastern Yellow Wagtail all in Devon, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher, and three Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Arctic Redpoll and Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Lesser Scaup in County Armagh, King Eider in Cleveland, and two White-billed Divers on the Shetland Isles. Scarcities today included Pallas's Warbler and Rough-legged Buzzard (Kent), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Somerset), Surf Scoter (Lothian), two each of Great Grey Shrike, Yellow-browed Warbler, Glossy Ibis, and Black Brant, three Green-winged Teals, nine Ring-necked Ducks, 14 Shorelarks, and a total of 32 Waxwings. |

A Laughing Gull was discovered offshore from Beesands Ley today.
Rarities today comprised of a White-winged Scoter in County Mayo, Isabelline Wheatear in Devon, Pallid Harrier, and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Norfolk, Penduline Tit in County Cork, Arctic Redpoll and Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler, two Glossy Ibises, Great Grey Shrike, Lady Amherst's Pheasant, Grey Phal, two Ring-billed Gulls, Lapland Bunting, two American Wigeon, three Yellow-browed Warblers, five Iceland Gulls, six Glaucous Gulls, five Tundra Bean Geese, two Snow Geese, 13 Waxwings, nine Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 19 Shorelarks. |

Rarities today comprised White-winged Scoters in both Lothian and County Mayo, Isabelline Wheatear in Devon, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in Kent and Norfolk, Penduline Tits in County Cork (2) and Somerset (2), Arctic Redpoll and Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Red-breasted Goose and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, and King Eiders in Cleveland and Shetland Isles. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler and Glossy Ibis (Kent), Surf Scoter (Argyll), Snow Goose (Forth), two each of American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, and Black Brant, five Yellow-browed Warblers, six Waxwings, 11 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 25 Shorelarks. |
