Rarities today comprised of a White-winged Scoter in County Mayo, Isabelline Wheatear in Devon, Pallid Harrier, and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Norfolk, Penduline Tit in County Cork, Arctic Redpoll and Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler, two Glossy Ibises, Great Grey Shrike, Lady Amherst's Pheasant, Grey Phal, two Ring-billed Gulls, Lapland Bunting, two American Wigeon, three Yellow-browed Warblers, five Iceland Gulls, six Glaucous Gulls, five Tundra Bean Geese, two Snow Geese, 13 Waxwings, nine Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 19 Shorelarks. |

Rarities today comprised White-winged Scoters in both Lothian and County Mayo, Isabelline Wheatear in Devon, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in Kent and Norfolk, Penduline Tits in County Cork (2) and Somerset (2), Arctic Redpoll and Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Red-breasted Goose and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, and King Eiders in Cleveland and Shetland Isles. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler and Glossy Ibis (Kent), Surf Scoter (Argyll), Snow Goose (Forth), two each of American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, and Black Brant, five Yellow-browed Warblers, six Waxwings, 11 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 25 Shorelarks. |

The highlight of the day was a Little Swift present over Eastbourne, East Sussex for less than an hour, mirroring a record in Lothian on 31st December 2015. Discoveries elsewhere included two Penduline Tits in Somerset at Steart whilst in County Cork there were now three together at The Gearagh. Other rarities comprised the Double-crested Cormorant still in County Leitrim, White-winged Scoters in both Lothian and County Mayo, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher, and two Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Arctic Redpoll in County Antrim, King Eider in Cleveland, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Bonaparte's Gulls in both Ayrshire and County Cork, Cackling Geese in Argyll and the Western Isles, and in Devon the Isabelline Wheatear showed again at Colyford Common. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Rough-legged Buzzard (Shetland Isles), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), Surf Scoter (Argyll), Rose-coloured Starling and American Wigeon (Somerset), two each of Snow Goose, Lapland Bunting, and Black Brant, three Great Grey Shrikes, four Green-winged Teals, six of Yellow-browed Warbler and Glossy Ibis, 12 Waxwings, 16 Shorelarks, and a total of 17 Ring-necked Ducks. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of the first two Penduline Tits for Ireland, at the Gearagh in County Cork. A Red-breasted Goose and a Pallid Harrier were both found on Islay, Argyll.
Lingering rarities still present included White-winged Scoters in Lothian and County Mayo, Hooded Merganser also in County Mayo, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Long-billed Dowitcher, Hume's Warbler and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Arctic Redpoll and Bonaparte's Gull in Couny Antrim, King Eider in Cleveland, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll. Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Lapland Bunting, a Great Grey Shrike, five Yellow-browed Warblers, seven Waxwings, 15 Shorelarks, two Leach's Petrels, three Grey Phalaropes, a Surf Scoter, three American Wigeon, 12 Ring-necked Ducks, a Black Brant, two Todd's Canada Geese, three Snow Geese, 13 Tundra Bean Geese, a Lady Amherst's Pheasant, seven Glossy Ibises, a Great Shearwater, a Pomarine Skua, a Kumlien's Gull, seven Iceland Gulls and 14 Glaucous Gulls. |

Rarities today comprised both the White-winged Scoter and Hooded Merganser both still in County Mayo, Forster's Tern still in County Galway, Pallid Harrier and Hume's Warbler in Norfolk, Red-breasted Goose in Cumbria, Arctic Redpoll in County Antrim, and King Eider in Cleveland. Scarcities included Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), Ring-billed Gull (County Galway), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Green-winged Teal (County Kerry), Snow Goose (Forth), Black Brant (Suffolk), two each of both Surf Scoter and Glossy Ibis, three Yellow-browed Warblers, five Ring-necked Ducks, eight Shorelarks, and a total of 32 Waxwings. |

| A White-winged Scoter was found yesterday and remained today at Tonatanvally, Achill Island, County Mayo, as well as an Arctic Redpoll found today at Dunsilly, County Antrim.
Lingering rarities still present included the Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, Red-breasted Goose in Cumbria, American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Hume's Warbler and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk. Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, four Yellow-browed Warblers, 11 Shorelarks, 14 Waxwings, an American Wigeon, nine Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, a Snow Goose, a Leach's Petrel, five Tundra Bean Geese, a Lady Amherst's Pheasant, two Glossy Ibises, a Pomarine Skua, two Little Auks, a Ring-billed Gull, six Glaucous Gulls and four Iceland Gulls. |

| An American Herring Gull was present at Drift Reservoir in Cornwall briefly, and a White-billed Diver flew past Holy Island, Northumberland.
Lingering rarities still present included the Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Lesser Scaup in County Armagh, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, Red-breasted Goose in Cumbria, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Hume's Warbler and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk and Dusky Warbler in Cornwall. | New discoveries today were a Red-breasted Goose at Salt Coates, Cumbria, belated news of both a Harlequin Duck off Coll, Argyll, and a Black Duck at Llanrhidian Marsh, Glamorgan
Rarities comprised of the Lesser Scaup in Fife, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher, and Hume's Warbler all in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Kent, King Eider in Cleveland, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, and Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim. Scarcities included a Sabine's Gull, Snow Goose, 15 Tundra Bean Geese, Black Brant, three Yellow-browed Warblers, five Balearic Shearwaters, three Glossy Ibises, two Little Auks, Rough-legged Buzzard, three Glaucous Gulls, three Ring-necked Ducks, two Green-winged Teals, Kumlien's Gull, eight Iceland Gulls, American Wigeon, nine Waxwings, and a total of 11 Shorelarks. |

Rarities today comprised the Isabelline Wheatear in Devon, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher, and Hume's Warbler all in Norfolk, King Eider in Cleveland, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, and Dusky Warbler in Wiltshire. Scarcities included three Ring-billed Gulls, Snow Goose, 71 Taiga Bean Geese, five Tundra Bean Geese, Todd's Canada Goose, Yellow-browed Warbler, two Lapland Buntings, six Glossy Ibises, Surf Scoter, Grey Phalarope, Glaucous Gull, two Ring-necked Ducks, Great Grey Shrike, four Iceland Gulls, American Wigeon, 10 Waxwings, and a total of 14 Shorelarks. |
