Iberian Chiffchaff in London, White-spotted Bluethroat in Gloucestershire, Black Kite on the Isle of Man,
Red-rumped Swallow on the Orkney Isles, King Eider in Lothian, Ferruginous Duck
in Staffordshire, the family of six Black-winged Stilts South Yorkshire, and Bee-eaters in Merseyside and Norfolk (8). Scarcities included Icterine Warbler (Cornwall), Rose-coloured Starling (Isles of Scilly), Hoopoe (Hertfordshire), American Golden Plover (County Wexford), Temminck's Stint (County Durham), Green-winged Teal (Highland), Red-necked Phalarope (Orkney Isles), three Glossy Ibises, and a total of four American Wigeons. |

| The highlight of the day was the relocation of the Pacific Swift on the Shetland Isles on Noss; 22 miles to the north northeast of where it was found on Sunday. Discoveries elsewhere included a Baird's Sandpiper in Lincolnshire at Alkborough Flats, a Subalpine Warbler species on Isle of Man at Calf of Man, a returning White-spotted Bluethroat in Gloucestershire at Slimbridge, Wilson's Petrel at sea off the Isles of Scilly, and Bee-eaters briefly in both Merseyside and Suffolk. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Black-browed Albatross in East Yorkshire, American Black Tern in Northumberland, territorial Great Reed Warblers in both Norfolk and Nottinghamshire, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Red-rumped Swallow on the Orkney Isles, seven Bee-eaters together in Norfolk, and the family party of six Black-winged Stilts in South Yorkshire. Scarcities included American Golden Plover (County Wexford), Pectoral Sandpiper (Staffordshire), Hoopoe (Hertfordshire), Green-winged Teal (Shetland), Red-necked Phalarope (Orkney), Glossy Ibis (Suffolk), two Golden Orioles, and three Rose-coloured Starlings. |

| The highlight of the day was the return of the Black-browed Albatross to Bempton Cliffs, East Yorkshire. Rarities elsewhere comprised the
Little Bittern still in Warwickshire, American Black Tern in Northumberland, territorial
Great Reed Warblers in both Norfolk and Nottinghamshire, Iberian
Chiffchaff in London, King Eider in Lothian, Red-rumped Swallow on the Orkney Isles,
Bee-eaters in Aberdeenshire and Norfolk (6), and the family party of six
Black-winged Stilts still in South Yorkshire. Scarcities included a Rose-coloured Starling on the Isles of Scilly, and a total of 10 Glossy Ibises. |

| Sunday 19th June 2022 | ||
|
||
| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Pacific Swift on the Shetland Isles at Sumburgh Head, Mainland from mid afternoon until late into the evening. Elsewhere, a Little Bittern was new at Ladywalk, Warwickshire, as was a White-billed Diver in Highland at Embo, and a Bee-eater seen briefly in Merseyside at Lunt Meadows. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the American Black Tern in Northumberland, territorial Great Reed Warblers in both Norfolk and Nottinghamshire, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, King Eider in Lothian, Red-rumped Swallow on the Orkney Isles, and both the breeding Black-winged Stilts in South Yorkshire, and Bee-eaters in Norfolk. Scarcities incluced Golden Oriole (Isles of Scilly), American Wigeon (Forth), three Rose-coloured Starlings, and a total of 23 Glossy Ibises. Significant late news concerned a near-adult Black-browed Albatross on Thursday on the Shetland Isles at sea off Unst. |

| Discoveries today included a Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford at Carne, a Black Kite briefly in Kent at Appledore, and an Alpine Swift over at Langdon Hills, Essex. Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the American Black Tern in Northumberland, King Eider in Lothian, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk and Nottinghamshire, Red-rumped Swallow in Orkney, and the Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire. |

| Lingering rarities seen today included the Great Reed Warbler and seven Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire and American Black Tern in Northumberland.
Scarcity highlights included two Golden Orioles, four Rose-coloured Starlings, five Honey Buzzards, three American Wigeon, eight Glossy Ibises and an Iceland Gull. |

| The highlight of the day was news that up to seven Bee-eaters are breeding in Norfolk at Trimingham. Elsewhere a
Greenish Warbler was discovered in Argyll at Sandbank and brief encounters included a
Red-footed Falcon in Nottinghamshire, and Black Kites in both Devon and Hampshire. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Pacific Golden Plover in Cornwall, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, territorial Great Reed Warblers in both Norfolk and Nottinghamshire, family of five Black-winged Stilts in South Yorkshire, King Eider in Lothian, and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire. Scarcities included Marsh Warbler (Lincolnshire), two each of both Red-backed Shrike and American Wigeon, and a total of six Glossy Ibises. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Pacific Golden Plover in Cornwall at Stithians Reservoir, whilst in East Yorkshire a
Blyth's Reed Warbler was in song at Kilnsea. Brief encounters included a
Black Kite in Kent, Bee-eater in Lincolnshire, and Red-rumped Swallows
on both the Isles of Scilly and the Orkney Isles. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the American Black Tern in Northumberland, territorial Great Reed Warbler in Nottinghamshire, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, King Eider in Lothian, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, and in South Yorkshire the pair of Black-winged Stilts remain at Potteric Carr where they now have two young. Scarcities included Marsh Warbler (Norfolk), Red-backed Shrike (Shetland Isles), American Wigeon (County Londonderry), two Rose-coloured Starlings, and a total of nine Glossy Ibises. |

in London, King Eider in Lothian, and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, whilst brief encounters included
Bee-eaters in both Norfolk (2) and Suffolk (3). Scarcities included Red-backed Shrike (Buckinghamshire), Red-necked Phalarope (Kent), Common Rosefinch and Green-winged Teal (Shetland Isles), two Purple Herons, three American Wigeons, four Rose-coloured Starlings, and a total of 10 Glossy Ibises. |
