| At least two new Red-rumped Swallows were in Scilly, with one on Tresco and two on St Martin's in the evening. Another was at Westwood Pool, Worcestershire, with the lingering bird still at Gibraltar Point, Lincolnshire. Two White-billed Divers were in South Nesting Bay, Shetland.
Other lingering rarities included the Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, Black Kite in Isle of Wight, Dusky Warbler and Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, King Eider in Lothian and White-billed Diver in Moray. Scarcity highlights included a Woodchat Shrike, a Little Bunting, three Wrynecks, four Hoopoes, an American Wigeon, two Ring-necked Ducks, three Green-winged Teals, four Surf Scoters, a Tundra Bean Goose, a Black Brant, a Honey Buzzard, two Pectoral Sandpipers, three Dotterel, three Purple Herons, 26 Glossy Ibises, 21 Pomarine Skuas, two Glaucous Gulls and four Iceland Gulls. |

| New discoveries today included single Black Kites over Gifford, Lothian, Culver Down, Isle of Wight, Catsfield, Sussex and Langton Matravers, Dorset, a Subalpine Warbler species on St Martin's, Scilly (with the lingering bird at Spurn, Yorkshire being confirmed as a Western Subalpine Warbler), single Red-rumped Swallows at Pendeen, Cornwall and on St Mary's, Scilly, a Black-winged Stilt at Welney, Norfolk and a White-billed Diver off Fair Isle, Shetland.
Other lingering rarities seen today included the Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Ross's Gull in County Galway, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll in Shetland, Dusky Warbler and Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Blue-winged Teals in Cambridgeshire and County Wexford, King Eider in Lothian, Red-rumped Swallows in Sussex and Lincolnshire, Pallid Harrier in Aberdeenshire and White-billed Diver in Moray. Scarcity highlights included a Bluethroat, a Woodchat Shrike, two Serins, two Wrynecks, four Hoopoes, a Temminck's Stint, six Dotterel, a Purple Heron, 14 Glossy Ibises, a Green-winged Teal, an American Wigeon, two Ring-necked Ducks, two Surf Scoters, a Tundra Bean Goose, a Black Brant, up to 22 Pomarine Skuas and five Glaucous Gulls. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Broad-billed Sandpiper in Merseyside at Marshside with other new rarities
today comprising a Subalpine Warbler species in East Yorkshire at Spurn, a
Bonaparte's Gull in Carmarthenshire at Llanelli, and Red-rumped Swallows
in Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Lincolnshire, and the Isles of Scilly. A Black-winged Stilt
in Buckinghamshire at Water Eaton was apparently the same individual as that present in Merseyside on 18th-26th April
after having migrated 150 miles southeast overnight. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Black-browed Albatross in East Yorkshire, Pallid Harrier and King Eider together in Aberdeenshire, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, Dusky Warblers in both London and Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford, and White-billed Divers in County Durham, Moray, and Northumberland. Scarcities included Short-toed Lark (Shetland), Serin (Scilly), Hoopoe (Somerset), Honey Buzzard (Pembrokeshire), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Green-winged Teal (County Wexford), two each of Wryneck and Surf Scoter, three Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 18 Glossy Ibises. |

| Discoveries today included Pallid Harrier and King Eider both in Aberdeenshire at the Ythan Estuary, an Eastern Subalpine Warbler
in Devon on Lundy, a Dusky Warbler on the Isle of Man on Calf of Man, and a
White-billed Diver flew past County Durham and Northumberland. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Black-browed Albatross again in East Yorkshire, Ross's Gull still in County Galway, Pacific Golden Plover in Suffolk, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, Black Kite in Kent, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, King Eiders in both Highland and Lothian, Black-winged Stilt in Merseyside, and White-billed Diver in Moray. Scarcities included Short-toed Lark (Shetland), Golden Oriole (Isles of Scilly), Purple Heron (Cheshire), Richard's Pipit (Wirral), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), two Green-winged Teals, three each of Wryneck, Surf Scoter, and Lapland Bunting, four of Hoopoe, seven of Dotterel and Ring-necked Duck, and a total of 18 Glossy Ibises. |

| The highlight of the day was a Bonelli's Warbler species in Devon on Lundy, with a Spanish Wagtail
new in Cornwall at Skewjack. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, Red-rumped Swallow in Suffolk, Black-winged Stilt in Merseyside, King Eider in Lothian, and White-billed Dovers in Aberdeenshire (2) and Moray (3). Scarcities included Short-toed Lark (Shetland Isles), Purple Heron (East Sussex), Hoopoe (Isle of Wight), Pectoral Sandpiper (Aberdeenshire), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Temminck's Stint (London), Green-winged Teal (Devon), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), two Woodchat Shrikes, three each of Surf Scoter and Ring-necked Duck, four Wrynecks, 12 Dotterel, and a total of 13 Glossy Ibises. |

| Discoveries today included a Black Kite in Kent at Dungeness, and Red-rumped Swallows in Dorset at Portland and in Suffolk at Woodbridge. Continuing rarities comprised the Pacific Golden Plover still in Suffolk, Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, Black-winged Stilt in Merseyside, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Suffolk and County Wexford, King Eider in Lothian, Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford, and White-billed Divers in Aberdeenshire (3) and the Orkney Isles. Scarcities included Golden Oriole (Cornwall), Little Bunting (North Yorkshire), Purple Heron (Isles of Scilly), Wryneck (Lincolnshire), Shorelark (Pembrokeshire), Great Grey Shrike (Cleveland), Green-winged Teal (County Wexford), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), Kumlien's Gull (Western Isles), two each of Short-toed Lark, Woodchat Shrike, and Lapland Bunting, three Temminck's Stints, five of Hoopoe and Dotterel, six Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 18 Glossy Ibises. |

| Discoveries today included a Lesser Grey Shrike reported on the Isle of Wight at East Cowes, a Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll
on the Shetland Isles on Unst, and a Bonaparte's Gull at Cardiff Bay, Glamorgan. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Black-browed Albatross still in East Yorkshire, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Ross's Gull in County Galway, Pacific Golden Plover in Suffolk, both Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, Kentish Plover in East Sussex, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, Black-winged Stilts in Merseyside and Norfolk (2), King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford, Lesser Scaup in Somerset, and Black Kites in both Cornwall and Dorset. Scarcities included Little Bunting (North Yorkshire), Shorelark and Lapland Bunting (Pembrokeshire), Temminck's Stint (Norfolk), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), two each of Purple Heron, Hoopoe, and Surf Scoter, eight of Ring-necked Duck and Dotterel, and a total of 20 Glossy Ibises. |

New discoveries today included 8 Red-rumped Swallows from Hampshire, Cornwall, Cambridgeshire and Gloucestershire, elsewhere a Kentish Plover was found at Rye Harbour in East Sussex, Black Kite over Abbotsbury Swannery in Dorset and a Great Spotted Cuckoo in County Durham flew NW over Darlington. Othwer rarities today were the Pacific Golden Plover still in Suffolk, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, Black-browed Albatross was in East Yorkshire, Black-winged Stilts were in Merseyside (1) and Norfolk (2), Pied-billed Grebe still in Argyll. Scarcities included Temminck's Stint, 2 Dotterel, American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, 3 Surf Scoters, 6 Ring-necked Ducks, 6 Iceland Gulls, Glaucous Gull, 6 Hoopoes and a total of 21 Glossy Ibises. |

| Southern vagrants today comprised the Crag Martin still on the Isles of Scilly,
Black-winged Stilt in Merseyside, Short-toed Lark in Cornwall, Purple Heron in Kent,
Red-rumped Swallows in both Cornwall and Lincolnshire, five Hoopoes, and fly-over
Black Kites in Cheshire, County Cork, Cornwall, Dorset, London, and Suffolk. Othwer rarities today were the Pacific Golden Plover still in Suffolk, both Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, Blue-winged Teals in Cambridgeshire and County Wexford, King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Cork, County Wexford, and Suffolk, White-billed Diver in Moray, and two Lesser Scaups together in Staffordshire. | Discoveries today included two Black-winged Stilts together in Norfolk at Welney, Red-rumped Swallows in both Suffolk and East Sussex, and Black Kites
in Dorset and Kent, but in the main these were just brief enconters. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Crag Martin still on the Isles of Scilly, Pacific Golden Plover and Lesser Yellowlegs both still in Suffolk, Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, Black-winged Stilts in Berkshire (2) and Merseyside, Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Staffordshire (2), Lesser Yellowlegs in County Cork and County Wexford, and White-billed Divers in Aberdeenshire (5), Moray (8), Shetland Isles, whilst in County Galway the Ross's Gull reappeared at Mutton Island where it had last been seen on 24th March. Scarcities included Temminck's Stint (Norfolk), American Wigeon (Moray), Spotted Crake (Fife), Snow Goose (Merseyside), Lapland Bunting (Pembrokeshire), two each of both Green-winged Teal and Kumlien's Gull, three Hoopoes, five Purple Herons, six Surf Scoters, eight Dotterel, 10 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 24 Glossy Ibises. |
