Rarities elsewhere comprised the Black-browed Albatross still in East Yorkshire, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Ross's Gull in County Galway, Pacific Golden Plover in Suffolk, both Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, Kentish Plover in East Sussex, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, Black-winged Stilts in Merseyside and Norfolk (2), King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford, Lesser Scaup in Somerset, and Black Kites in both Cornwall and Dorset. Scarcities included Little Bunting (North Yorkshire), Shorelark and Lapland Bunting (Pembrokeshire), Temminck's Stint (Norfolk), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), two each of Purple Heron, Hoopoe, and Surf Scoter, eight of Ring-necked Duck and Dotterel, and a total of 20 Glossy Ibises. |

New discoveries today included 8 Red-rumped Swallows from Hampshire, Cornwall, Cambridgeshire and Gloucestershire, elsewhere a Kentish Plover was found at Rye Harbour in East Sussex, Black Kite over Abbotsbury Swannery in Dorset and a Great Spotted Cuckoo in County Durham flew NW over Darlington. Othwer rarities today were the Pacific Golden Plover still in Suffolk, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, Black-browed Albatross was in East Yorkshire, Black-winged Stilts were in Merseyside (1) and Norfolk (2), Pied-billed Grebe still in Argyll. Scarcities included Temminck's Stint, 2 Dotterel, American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, 3 Surf Scoters, 6 Ring-necked Ducks, 6 Iceland Gulls, Glaucous Gull, 6 Hoopoes and a total of 21 Glossy Ibises. |

| Southern vagrants today comprised the Crag Martin still on the Isles of Scilly,
Black-winged Stilt in Merseyside, Short-toed Lark in Cornwall, Purple Heron in Kent,
Red-rumped Swallows in both Cornwall and Lincolnshire, five Hoopoes, and fly-over
Black Kites in Cheshire, County Cork, Cornwall, Dorset, London, and Suffolk. Othwer rarities today were the Pacific Golden Plover still in Suffolk, both Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, Blue-winged Teals in Cambridgeshire and County Wexford, King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Cork, County Wexford, and Suffolk, White-billed Diver in Moray, and two Lesser Scaups together in Staffordshire. Scarcities included Red-backed Shrike, Temminck's Stint, and Dotterel (Norfolk), Wryneck (Scilly), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Green-winged Teal (County Wexford), two Little Buntings, four Surf Scoters, six Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 21 Glossy Ibises. |

| Discoveries today included two Black-winged Stilts together in Norfolk at Welney, Red-rumped Swallows in both Suffolk and East Sussex, and Black Kites
in Dorset and Kent, but in the main these were just brief enconters. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Crag Martin still on the Isles of Scilly, Pacific Golden Plover and Lesser Yellowlegs both still in Suffolk, Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, Black-winged Stilts in Berkshire (2) and Merseyside, Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Staffordshire (2), Lesser Yellowlegs in County Cork and County Wexford, and White-billed Divers in Aberdeenshire (5), Moray (8), Shetland Isles, whilst in County Galway the Ross's Gull reappeared at Mutton Island where it had last been seen on 24th March. Scarcities included Temminck's Stint (Norfolk), American Wigeon (Moray), Spotted Crake (Fife), Snow Goose (Merseyside), Lapland Bunting (Pembrokeshire), two each of both Green-winged Teal and Kumlien's Gull, three Hoopoes, five Purple Herons, six Surf Scoters, eight Dotterel, 10 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 24 Glossy Ibises. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of five more Black-winged
Stilts: three in Berkshire and two in Norfolk, the latter at Silt Fen. A further
Black-winged Stilt remained in Merseyside making a total of 12 recorded in Britain since 11th April. All other rarities discovered today were brief encounters; an
Alpine Swift in County Cork, a Red-rumped Swallow in East Yorkshire, and
Black Kites in both East Sussex and Kent. Lingering rarities comprised the Crag Martin still on the Isles of Scilly, Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, Black-browed Albatross in East Yorkshire, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Pacific Golden Plover and Lesser Yellowlegs both in Suffolk, Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Staffordshire (2), and ten White-billed Divers: seven in Aberdeenshire and three in Moray. Scarcities included Woodchat Shrike and Surf Scoter (Isles of Scilly), Pectoral Sandpiper (Cumbria), Temminck's Stint (Norfolk), Snow Goose (Merseyside), two Green-winged Teals, three American Wigeons, four Hoopoes, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 25 Glossy Ibises. |

| New discoveries today included two Lesser Scaups at Tucklesholme Quarry, Staffordshire, a Black-winged Stilt at Marshside, Merseyside, single Red-rumped Swallows over Hunmanby Gap, Yorkshire and Colt Crag Reservoir, Northumberland, an Alpine Swift over Bempton Cliffs, Yorkshire, Black Kites over Widdrington, Northumberland, Beddington, London and over Minsmere, Suffolk, the latter tracked south to Mistley, Essex, and another Bonaparte's Gull at South Slob, County Wexford.
Lingering rarities included the Crag Martin in Scilly, Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, King Eiders in Lothian and Highland, Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Clyde (two), Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Sussex, Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, County Wexford and County Cork, Pacific Golden Plover in Suffolk and White-billed Diver in Aberdeenshire. |

| The first Crag Martin for Scilly was confirmed on Bryher mid morning, where it remained until the evening. It was first seen on Tresco on Thursday, where there was a Red-rumped Swallow today. Another Red-rumped Swallow was near Guisborough, Cleveland, with other new discoveries today including a Snowy Owl on Eday, Orkney, Black Kites over Burton Mere Wetlands RSPB, Cheshire, Weymouth and Portland, Dorset and single birds at Dungeness and St Margaret's at Cliffe, both Kent, two Bonaparte's Gulls at South Slob, County Wexford and a Black-winged Stilt at Cors Ddyga RSPB, Anglesey.
Lingering rarities included the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, Hume's Warblers in Kent and Sussex, Dusky Warblers in Norfolk and London, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll and Lesser Yellowlegs in Shetland (with another of the latter and a Pacific Golden Plover in Suffolk), Blue-winged Teals in Cambridgeshire and County Wexford, King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, Lesser Scaup in Somerset, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, White-billed Divers in Aberdeenshire and Moray and another Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford. Scarcity highlights included a Wryneck, a Richard's Pipit, a Great Grey Shrike, a Yellow-browed Warbler, two Serins, four Hoopoes, three Surf Scoters, four Green-winged Teals, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, 14 Glossy Ibises, a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Kumlien's Gull, six Glaucous Gulls and eight Iceland Gulls. |

| Southern arrivals continued with in Ireland single Subalpine Warbler species on both Cape Clear, County Cork, and on Great Saltee, County Wexford, the latter alongside a
Woodchat Shrike. Elsewhere, Spanish Wagtail and Hoopoe on the Isles of Scilly, a
Black-winged Stilt still in Carmarthenshire, Short-toed Lark and
Hoopoe on the Shetland Isles, Purple Heron in Somerset, and Serin in Dorset. | Southern rarities and scarcities today included a Western Subalpine Warbler in Cornwall at Housel Bay, an Iberian Chiffchaff
in Cumbria at Barow-in-Furness, a Black-winged Stilt still in Carmarthenshire,
Black Kite in Essex, Serin and Hoopoe in Kent, Hoopoe
on the Shetland Isles, and on the Isles of Scilly a probable Spanish
Wagtail.
