Wednesday 30th March 2022  
  The highlight of the day was the return of the Black-browed Albatross to Bempton Cliffs where it showed well in the afternoon and evening. Discoveries elsewhere included the Ferruginous Duck back in Staffordshire at Belvide Reservoir, a White-billed Diver on Unst, Shetland Isles, and best of all a Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire at Berry Fen; the third to be found in Britain and Ireland in three days.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today comprised the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Baikal Teal in East Yorkshire, Blue-winged Teal in Buckinghamshire, Bonaparte's Gull in West Sussex, Dusky Warbler Norfolk, and two Cackling Geese together on the Western Isles.

Scarcities included Snow Goose and Kumlien's Gull (both Western Isles), Hoopoe and Spotted Crake (Devon), Temminck's Stint (Kent), Great Grey Shrike (North Yorkshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Dorset), four Green-winged Teals, five Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 14 Glossy Ibises.

Tuesday 29th March 2022  
  The highlight of the day an Alpine Swift that flew west over Chilling, Hampshire this evening; the first of the year.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Baikal Teal in East Yorkshire, Blue-winged Teals in Buckinghamshire and County Wexford, two Penduline Tits together in Somerset, Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, King Eider in Highland, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, Lesser Scaups in both Clyde (2) and Dumfries and Galloway.

Scarcities included Spotted Crake (Devon), Temminck's Stint (Kent), Ring-billed Gull (Argyll), Yellow-browed Warbler (Dorset), two Hoopoes, three Great Grey Shrikes, four each of Shorelark and Green-winged Teal, eight Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 29 Glossy Ibises.

Monday 28th March 2022  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of two Blue-winged Teals: a female in Buckinghamshire at Little Marlow, and a male at Tacumshin, County Wexford.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Bonaparte's Gulls in both West Sussex and County Wexford, two Penduline Tits together in Somerset, Dusky Warblers in London and Norfolk, King Eider in Lothian, Lesser Scaup Dumfries and Galloway, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk and County Wexford, and on the Western Isles Lesser Scaup, Richardson's Cackling Goose, and White-billed Diver.

Scarcities included Hoopoe (Isles of Scilly), Spotted Crake (Devon), Temminck's Stint (Kent), American Wigeon (Isle of Man), Ring-billed Gull (County Cork), Yellow-browed Warbler (Dorset), Lapland Bunting (Norfolk), Snow Goose (Western Isles), two each of Serin and Great Grey Shrike, three Surf Scoters, five Shorelarks, six Green-winged Teals, nine Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 34 Glossy Ibises.

Sunday 27th March 2022  
  New discoveries today included a Dusky Warbler at Stiffkey, Norfolk, single White-billed Divers off Fair Isle, Shetland and North Ronaldsay, Orkney, and a Ross's Goose flew over near Thurso, Highland.

Lingering rarities still present included the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, Red-flanked Bluetail and Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Baikal Teal in Yorkshire, Black Duck in County Mayo, two Lesser Scaups in Clyde, King Eiders in Highland and Lothian and Bonaparte's Gull in Sussex.

Saturday 26th March 2022  
  Discoveries today included a Bonaparte's Gull in Norfolk at Cantley, where recently a Lesser Yellowlegs has been present, and a Red-flanked Bluetail in County Wexford on Great Saltee Island, with another reported at an undisclosed location in west Norfolk.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Baikal Teal in East Yorkshire, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in West Sussex, two Penduline Tits in Somerset, King Eider in Highland, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, and in Moray at least 13 White-billed Divers were logged.

Scarcities included Temminck's Stint (Kent), Snow Goose (Lancashire), Great Grey Shrike (Cambridgeshire), Lapland Bunting (Conwy), Yellow-browed Warbler (Dorset), two each of Serin, Ring-billed Gull, Surf Scoter, and Kumlien's Gull, three Hoopoes, six Green-winged Teals, nine Ring-necked Ducks, 16 Shorelarks, and a total of 35 Glossy Ibises.

Incoming spring migrants included 172 Garganey, eight Ospreys, seven Ring Ouzels, three each of both Whitethroat and House Martin, two Whinchats, Common Tern (Cambridgeshire), Redstart (East Sussex), Tree Pipit (Highland), Yellow Wagtail (Wiltshire), and Sedge Warbler (West Sussex).

Friday 25th March 2022  
  Rarities today comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Baikal Teal in East Yorkshire, Ross's Goose in Aberdeenshire, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Dusky Warbler in London, Bonaparte's Gull in West Sussex, King Eider in Highland, Lesser Scaup in Dumfries and Galloway, and Richardson's Cackling Goose on the Western Isles.

Scarcities included Yellow-browed Warbler (Dorset), Lapland Bunting (Isle of Man), Kumlien's Gull (Cornwall), two each of both Little Bunting and Hoopoe, three of Ring-billed Gull, Surf Scoter, and Ring-necked Duck, four Shorelarks, five Snow Geese, seven Green-winged Teals, and a total of 15 Glossy Ibises.

Incoming spring migrants included 123 Garganey, three Ring Ouzels, 11 Ospreys, Reed Warbler (Devon), and Sedge Warbler (West Sussex).

Thursday 24th March 2022  
 

Rarities today comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Baikal Teal in East Yorshire, Ross's Goose in Aberdeenshire, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, King Eider in Highland, Ross’s Gull in County Galway, Penduline Tit in Somerset, 2 Lesser Scaups with singles in Dumfries and Galloway and County Armagh and four White-billed Divers in Moray.

Scarcities included Snow Goose, 4 Green-winged Teals, 2 Little Buntings, Yellow-browed Warbler, Kumlien's Gull, 13 Iceland Gulls, 6 Glaucous Gulls, 6 Ring-necked Ducks, 4 Shorelarks, and a total of 24 Glossy Ibises.

Spring migrant included 5 Yellow Wagtails, 2 Cuckoo, Stone Curlew (Isle of Wight), two Willow Warblers, 4 Ring Ouzel, 4 Hoopoe, 3 Osprey and 95 Garganey

Wednesday 23rd March 2022  
  Rarities today comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, Baikal Teal in East Yorshire, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Ross's Goose in Aberdeenshire, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, King Eider in Highland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, Bonaparte's Gull in West Sussex, Dusky Warbler in London, two Cackling Geese together on the Western Isles, and four White-billed Divers in Moray.

Scarcities included Snow Goose (Lancashire), Green-winged Teal (County Kerry), Great Grey Shrike (Cambridgeshire), Waxwing (Cleveland), two each of Little Bunting, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Kumlien's Gull, five of Ring-billed Gull and Lapland Bunting, seven Ring-necked Ducks, nine Shorelarks, and a total of 28 Glossy Ibises.

Spring migrant included Sedge Warbler (Hampshire), Yellow Wagtail (Buckinghamshire), Cuckoo (Isles of Scilly), Stone Curlew (Isle of Wight), two Willow Warblers, three Serin (together in Cornwall), four each of Hoopoe, Ring Ouzel and Osprey, five House Martins, and 127 Garganey.

Tuesday 22nd March 2022  
  Discoveries today included a Bonaparte's Gull in West Sussex at Chichester, a King Eider in Highland at Loch Fleet, and two Lesser Scaups together in Forth at Skinflats.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Baikal Teal in East Yorkshire, Ross's Goose in Aberdeenshire, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Dusky Warbler in London, Red-breasted Geese in Argyll and Norfolk, two Penduline Tits together in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, and eight White-billed Divers in Moray.

Scarcities included Ring-billed Gull (Argyll), Surf Scoter (Moray), Snow Goose (Merseyside), Great Grey Shrike (Cambridgeshire), Kumlien's Gull (Cornwall), two each of Little Bunting, Hoopoe, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Black Brant, three of Serin and Waxwing, six Shorelarks, eight of both Ring-necked Duck and Lapland Bunting, and a total of 20 Glossy Ibises.

Incoming spring migrants included Sedge Warbler (Lincolnshire), Ring Ouzel (East Yorkshire), House Martin (Devon), two each of Yellow Wagtail and Willow Warbler, four Ospreys, and an incredible tally of 176 Garganey.

Monday 21st March 2022  
  A Lesser Scaup was found at Castle Loch, Dumfries and Galloway, and there are seven White-billed Divers now present off Cullen, Moray.

Lingering rarities still present included the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Baikal Teal in Yorkshire, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Lesser Scaup in Western Isles, King Eider in Lothian, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, Penduline Tit in Somerset and Dusky Warbler in London.

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, a Yellow-browed Warbler, two Little Buntings, two Great Grey Shrikes, seven Shorelarks, 32 Glossy Ibises, a Green-winged Teal, three Surf Scoters, 29 Ring-necked Ducks, a Taiga Bean Goose, two Black Brants, two Ring-billed Gulls, two Kumlien's Gulls, four Glaucous Gulls and 11 Iceland Gulls.
