| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Desert Wheatear at Berry Head, Devon;
the fifth of the autumn but the third in south Devon this week. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were both the White-winged Scoter and King Eider in Lothian, Ross's Goose in Ayrshire, Bonaparte's Gull in County Clare, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, Ferruginous Ducks in both Hampshire and Surrey, and Lesser Scaups in Argyll (3), Devon (2), County Sligo, and the Western Isles. Scarcities included Serin and Waxwing (County Durham), Great Shearwater (Lincolnshire), Green-winged Teal (Hampshire), Black Brant (Dorset), Glossy Ibis (Devon), three American Wigeons, five Great Grey Shrikes, six each of Shorelark and Grey Phalarope, and a total of 17 Ring-necked Ducks. |

| The highlight of the day was another Brunnich's Guillemot, this time passing Fife Ness, Fife.
There have now been at least nine records since 26th November. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Black Scoter still in Moray, Ross's Goose in Ayrshire, Ferruginous Duck in Surrey, Lesser Scaup and Cackling Goose both still on the Western Isles, and in County Clare a Bonaparte's Gull new at Quilty. Scarcities included Serin (County Durham), Ring-billed Gull (a new bird in County Clare), Green-winged Teal (Hampshire), Lapland Bunting (East Yorkshire), two each of American Wigeon, Yellow-browed Warbler, Black Brant, and Grey Phalarope, four Ring-necked Ducks, seven Glossy Ibises, and a total of 11 Shorelarks. |

| Tuesday 30th November 2021 | ||

| Rarities today comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire at
Red Scar Wood, Isabelline Shrike species still in Pembrokeshire at
Marloes, King Eider again in Lothian at Portobello, and two Lesser Scaups together in
Devon at Beesands Ley. Scarcities included Serin (County Durham), American Wigeon (Derbyshire), Great Grey Shrike (Norfolk), Little Auk (well inland in Oxfordshire) two Green-winged Teals, three each of Lapland Bunting, Glossy Ibis, and Grey Phalarope, four Surf Scoters, five Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 11 Shorelarks. Significant late news concerned the first Red-flanked Bluetail for Shropshire that was caught on a camera trap recently. |

| Monday 29th November 2021 | ||

| The highlight of the day was once again Brunnich's Guillemot with new birds in Aberdeenshire at Collieston, and at Torness, Lothian.
Other discoveries included a Desert Wheatear in Devon at Start Point, a Blyth's Reed Warbler
in Manchester, Greater Manchester, a Dusky Warbler in Cornwall at Skewjack, and
in Cleveland a White-billed Diver flew over Saltburn. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in East Yorkshire, both White-winged Scoter and Isabelline Wheatear in Lothian, Isabelline Shrike species in Pembrokeshire, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk, another Desert Wheatear in Devon, Snowy Owl on the Western Isles, Lesser Scaups in Argyll, Devon (2), and the Isles of Scilly, and Dusky Warblers in both Norfolk and Scilly (2). Significant late news concerned the Ross's Goose still present yesterday with Pink-footed Geese at Hunterston, Ayrshire. |

| Sunday 28th November 2021 | ||

||
| Brunnich's Guillemot was again the headline species as northerly winds in the North Sea brought an amazing run of sightings along north east coasts. No fewer than three were logged flying north past Whitburn, County Durham and there were sightings from nine other sites in North Yorkshire, Cleveland, County Durham and Northumberland, mostly fly-bys but two were seen on the sea, albeit briefly. There was also a possible off Fife Ness in Fife. Also on these winds were White-billed Divers, with eleven birds seen flying past sites from Girdle Ness in Aberdeen to Flamborough in East Yorkshire, and over 500 Little Auks seen from Orkney to Kent. In Pembrokes an Isabelline Shrike sp was found at Marloes. Lingering rarities included the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, Spotted Sandpiper on Scilly, five Lesser Scaups together on Islay plus two together in Devon, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk and Isabelline Wheatear in Lothian. |

| Rarities today comprised the Isabelline Wheatear still in Lothian, Hume's Warbler still in Suffolk,
White-tailed Lapwing in East Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Semipalmated Plover in County Cork,
Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, and
Lesser Scaups in Argyll (3) and Devon (2). Scarcities included Snow Goose (Forth), Black Brant (Norfolk), two Green-winged Teals, four each of Surf Scoter, Lapland Bunting, and Grey Phalarope, five Ring-necked Ducks, and seven Leach's Petrels. |

| Friday 26th November 2021 | ||

| A Brunnich's Guillemot in Norfolk, first found off Holkham Bay before moving to a sand bar off Wells harbour mouth, provided a welcome county tick for most, but, sadly, it died just as it was apparently rescued. Another Brunnich's Guillemot flew past St Agnes Head in Cornwall. Also in Norfolk, a Ferruginous Duck was found on Ormesby Broad.
Lingering rarities included the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, Isabelline Wheatear in Lothian, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk, three Lesser Scaups in Argyll and two in Devon and a Ferruginous Duck in Surrey. Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Great Grey Shrike, five Shorelarks, three Ring-necked Ducks, five Glossy Ibises, a Surf Scoter, three Green-winged Teals, a Snow Goose, a Todd's Canada Goose, a Black Brant, 30 Taiga Bean Geese, a Grey Phalarope, a Leach's Petrel, two Pomarine Skuas, nine Little Auks, four Glaucous Gulls and five Iceland Gulls. |

| Thursday 25th November 2021 | ||

| The highlight of the day was the reappearance of the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire on the River Ribble at
Tunbrook: exactly where it was found on 8th November and had showed again on 14th November. New rarities today comprised a Desert Wheatear inland in West Yorkshire at Keighley Moor, an Eastern Stonechat species on the Shetland Isles in Lerwick, and in Suffolk a Hume's Warbler at Benacre and a Dusky Warbler at Lakenheath Fen. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the White-tailed Lapwing in East Yorkshire, Isabelline Wheatear in Lothian, Semipalmated Plover in County Cork, Red-breasted Goose in Essex, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, King Eider in Moray, Ferruginous Duck in Surrey, and Lesser Scaups in Argyll (5), Devon (2), and the Western Isles. Scarcities included Night Heron (Suffolk), Lapland Bunting (County Kerry), Grey Phalarope (Norfolk), two each of Pallas's Warbler, American Golden Plover, and Black Brant, three of Surf Scoter and Great Grey Shrike, five of Glossy Ibis and Shorelark, and a total of 11 Ring-necked Ducks. |

| New rarities today comprised an Isabelline Wheatear in Lothian at East Linton,
Rustic Bunting in Cleveland at Hartlepool, and a Lesser Yellowlegs at Lough Atedaun, County Clare. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Long-toed Stint in Cumbria, White-tailed Lapwing in East Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Isabelline Wheatear in Norfolk, Red-breasted Goose in Essex, both Spotted Sandpiper and Dusky Warbler on the Isles of Scilly, King Eider in Moray, and Lesser Scaups in Argyll (5), Devon (2), and the Western Isles. Scarcities included American Golden Plover (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Bedfordshire), Snow Goose (Forth), Green-winged Teal (Somerset), Glossy Ibis (County Wexford), Yellow-browed Warbler (Scilly), two each of Pallas's Warbler, Surf Scoter, Grey Phalarope, and Black Brant, three Great Grey Shrikes, eight each of Ring-necked Duck, Shorelark, and Lapland Bunting, and a total of 26 Waxwings. |

| Tuesday 23rd November 2021 | ||

| Discoveries today included an Isabelline Wheatear in Norfolk at Cley, and
yet more Lesser Scaups with two together in Devon at Beesands Ley, and now a record five together on Islay, Argyll. A
Long-toed Stint was found in Cumbria but the site was not revealed. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Killdeer in Argyll, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Red-flanked Bluetail in Norfolk, Spotted Sandpiper on the Isles of Scilly, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, Lesser Scaups in both County Cavan and the Western Isles, and now three Cackling Geese together on the Western Isles. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), American Golden Plover (Cornwall), Pectoral Sandpiper (County Durham), Yellow-browed Warbler (Isles of Scilly), Green-winged Teal (Somerset), two each of Ring-billed Gull, American Wigeon, Snow Goose, and Great Grey Shrike, six of Surf Scoter, Lapland Bunting, and Glossy Ibis, and a total of seven Ring-necked Ducks. |
