Nearctic waders today comprised a Wilson's Phalarope new in Cheshire at Burton Mere Wetlands, Lesser Yellowlegs still in County Wexford, American Golden Plover on the Orkney Isles, Long-billed Dowitchers in both County Londonderry and Norfolk, two Buff-breasted Sandpipers, and a total of 30 Pectoral Sandpipers. Other scarcities included Purple Heron (Kent), Melodious Warbler (Scilly), Red-breasted Flycatcher (Shetland), Hoopoe (Glamorgan), Montagu's Harrier (Dorset), Red-backed Shrike (Cornwall), Long-tailed Skua (East Yorkshire), Lapland Bunting (Orkney), Ring-billed Gull (County Galway), two each of Barred Warbler, Common Rosefinch, and Yellow-browed Warbler, three Dotterel, seven of Rose-coloured Starling and Wryneck, and eight Glossy Ibises. |

New waders today included Baird's Sandpiper at Tacumshin in Co.Wexford, Semipalmated Sandpiper at Gunwalloe Cove in Cornwall and Long-billed Dowitcher at Lough Beg in Co.Derry. Shetland delivered Rustic Bunting and Blyth's Reed Warbler on Foula, as well as a new King Eider off East Burra. Making up the day's continuing rarities were the White-tailed Lapwing in East Yorkshire, Squacco Heron in Flintshire, Forster's Tern in Co.Louth, Baird's Sandpiper in Co.Kerry, Pacific Golden Plover in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk and Co.Wexford, Bonaparte's Gulls in Co.Down and Kent, and Greenish Warbler and King Eider in Shetland. The best of the rest included two Ring-necked Ducks, two American Golden Plovers, three Dotterel, three Buff-breasted Sandpipers, 34 Pectoral Sandpipers, five Sabine's Gulls, two White-winged Black Terns, six Glossy Ibises, Purple Heron (Oxfordshire), Hoopoe (Glamorgan), nine Wrynecks, two Red-backed Shrikes, Woodchat Shrike (Fair Isle), Melodious Warbler (Scilly), Icterine Warbler (Co.Cork), four Rose-coloured Starlings, two Bluethroats, three Red-breasted Flycatchers, four Common Rosefinches and two Ortolan Buntings. |

The day's finds included Tawny Pipits in Sussex and Scilly, Pallid Harrier at Kilminning in Fife, Baird's Sandpiper in Co.Kerry and up to two Long-billed Dowitchers in the Western Isles. Continuing rarities included White-tailed Lapwing and Black-browed Albatross in East Yorkshire, Squacco Heron in Flintshire, Snowy Owl in Aberdeenshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Northumberland; Baird's Sandpipers in Co.Cork, Scilly and Western Isles (two); Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk and Co.Wexford, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, and King Eider and Greenish Warbler in Shetland. both still in East Yorkshire, a Laughing Gull in Cornwall at Gwithian,
Squacco Heron still in Flintshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Northumberland,
Snowy Owl in Aberdeenshire, Greenish Warbler on the Shetland Isles at Sumburgh,
Bonaparte's Gulls in both County Down and Kent, and a Red-throated
Pipit in Kent at Sandwich Bay albeit only briefly. Nearctic waders today comprised Baird's Sandpipers in County Cork, County Galway, Isles of Scilly, and the Western Isles (2), Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, County Waterford, and County Wexford, American Golden Plover on the Orkney Isles, seven Buff-breasted Sandpipers, and 40 Pectoral Sandpipers; including nine together at Tacumshin, County Wexford. Other scarcities included Melodious Warbler (Cornwall), Ortolan Bunting (Devon), Woodchat Shrike and Yellow-browed Warbler (Shetland), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Green-winged Teal (Powys), two each of Rose-coloured Starling, Bluethroat, and Long-tailed Skua, three of both Hoopoe and Red-backed Shrike, four Red-breasted Flycatchers, five Glossy Ibises, six Dotterel and Lapland Bunting, seven Barred Warblers, nine Common Rosefinches, and a total of 13 Wrynecks. |

| New discoveries today included an Isabelline Wheatear at Easington, Yorkshire, a Booted Warbler on Fetlar, Shetland, a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Boulmer and a Pacific Golden Plover on Holy Island, both Northumberland, a Baird's Sandpiper at Timoleague and another on Haulbowline, both County Cork, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Tacumshin, County Wexford and another at Lochmaddy, Western Isles, a Pallid Harrier at Toe Head, County Cork, a Wilson's Petrel off Newquay, Cornwall and a Lesser Scaup on North Ronaldsay, Orkney.
Lingering rarities included the White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, Baird's Sandpipers in County Cork and Western Isles, Balearic Woodchat Shrike in Scilly, King Eider in Shetland and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent. Scarcity highlights included a Woodchat Shrike, a Red-backed Shrike, a Bluethroat, an Icterine Warbler, two Hoopoes, two Common Rosefinches, seven Wrynecks, seven Lapland Buntings, two Purple Herons, a Dotterel, an American Golden Plover, five Buff-breasted Sandpipers, 35 Pectoral Sandpipers, a Ring-necked Duck, a Honey Buzzard, four Glossy Ibises, a Glaucous Gull, four Long-tailed Skuas and six Pomarine Skuas. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Paddyfield Warbler off the Isle of Man
on Calf of Man. Rarities elswwhere included White-tailed Lapwing and Black-browed Albatross both still in East Yorkshire, Squacco Heron still in Flintshire,
Black Duck in County Mayo, Balearic Woodchat Shrike on the Isles of Scilly,
Bonaparte's Gull in County Down, both Blyth's Reed Warbler and King Eider on Shetland Isles, a flyover
Black Stork in Essex, and a brief Red-rumped Swallow in Kent. Nearctic waders today comprised Baird's Sandpipers in County Cork, the Isles of Scilly, and the Western Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Mayo and Suffolk, American Golden Plover on the Orkney Isles, four Buff-breasted Sandpipers, and 28 Pectoral Sandpipers. Other scarcities included Short-toed Lark (West Sussex), Bluethroat (East Yorkshire), Ortolan Bunting (Dorset), Melodious Warbler (Isles of Scilly), Purple Heron (Oxfordshire), White-winged Black Tern (County Dublin), Great Shearwater (Northumberland), Surf Scoter (Angus), Hoopoe (Glamorgan), Red-backed Shrike (Cornwall), Sabine's Gull (Western Isles), Dotterel (Carmarthenshire), Woodchat Shrike, Red-breasted Flycatcher, and two Yellow-browed Warblers (Shetland), three Lapland Buntings, four each of Long-tailed Skua and Glossy Ibis, six Rose-coloured Starlings, nine Barred Warbler and Common Rosefinches, and a total of 19 Wrynecks. |

| New rarities today included a Great Snipe on the Shetland Isles at Loch of Brow, Mainland, and a
Squacco Heron in Flintshire at Gronant. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present included White-tailed Lapwing and Black-browed Albatross in East Yorkshire, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Black Stork in Lincolnshire, Black Duck in County Mayo, Balearic Woodchat Shrike on the Isles of Scilly, Bonaparte's Gull in County Down, and on Shetland Arctic Warbler, Blyth's Reed Warbler, and King Eider. Nearctic waders today comprised single Baird's Sandpipers in both County Cork and County Kerry, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Mayo (3) and Suffolk, four Buff-breasted Sandpipers, and a total of 26 Pectoral Sandpipers. Scarcities included Ortolan Bunting (Scilly), Woodchat Shrike, Melodious Warbler and Bluethroat (Shetland), Marsh Warbler (Orkney Isles), two each of Surf Scoter, Red-backed Shrike and Lapland Bunting, three of both Rose-coloured Starling and Hoopoe, four Barred Warblers, five Glossy Ibises, six Long-tailed Skuas, eight Dotterel, 10 Common Rosefinches, and 22 Wrynecks. |

Balearic Woodchat Shrike on the Isles of Scilly, Bonaparte's Gulls in both County Down and Kent, and on the Shetland Isles two
Arctic Warblers still together on Mainland, and a Blyth's Reed Warbler new-in on Fair Isle. Nearctic waders comprised Baird's Sandpiper still in County Cork, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, three Buff-breasted Sandpipers, and a total of 23 Pectoral Sandpipers. Nearctic waders today comprised a Lesser Yellowlegs new in Suffolk at Shelley, a Baird's Sandpiper in County Kerry at Cashen, three Buff-breasted Sandpipers, and a total of 13 Pectoral Sandpipers. Other scarcities included Woodchat Shrike, Bluethroat, Hoopoe (Shetland), Lapland Bunting (East Yorkshire), two each of Little Bunting, Marsh Warbler, Rose-coloured Starling, and Surf Scoter, three of Red-backed Shrike and Sabine's Gull, four of Ortolan Bunting and Common Rosefinch, six Dotterel, 10 Long-tailed Skuas, 11 Barred Warblers, 12 Glossy Ibises, and 16 Wrynecks. |

A Fea's/Desertas Petrel flew north past Flamborough Head in the late afternoon. Other new birds included Booted Warbler on Barra, Pallid Harrier on the Isle of Wight, Baird's Sandpiper in Co.Derry, and Arctic Warblers in Orkney, Shetland and Argyll. A Wilson's Petrel was seen from the Scillonian. East Yorkshire continued to offer the Green Warbler, White-tailed Lapwing and Black-browed Albatross. Other rarities still present included the Western Bonelli's Warbler and Balearic Woodchat Shrike on Scilly, Snowy Owl in Aberdeenshire, Black Stork in Lincolnshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent and King Eider in Shetland. Other national news included two Dotterel, Buff-breasted Sandpiper (Western Isles), 13 Pectoral Sandpipers, three Sabine's Gulls, nine Glossy Ibises, Hoopoe (Devon), 31 Wrynecks, six Red-backed Shrikes, Woodchat Shrike, Marsh Warbler (Shetland), Melodious Warbler (Scilly), 16 Barred Warblers, three Rose-coloured Starlings, two Bluethroats, three Red-breasted Flycatchers, 22 Common Rosefinches, four Ortolan Buntings and two Lapland Buntings (Orkney). |
