Analysis of sound recordings confirmed the Eastern Yellow Wagtail in Northumberland which remained at Prestwick Carr today. A White-billed Diver south past Hemsby in Norfolk Still here were the Black-throated Thrush in Bedfordshire, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Eastern Stonechat sp in Suffolk, Penduline Tit in London, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Highland and Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon. Other news included Purple Heron (Lancashire), three Rough-legged Buzzards, four Great Grey Shrikes, Glossy Ibis (Suffolk), two Ring-billed Gulls, Grey Phalarope (Aberdeenshire), Surf Scoter (Conwy), three Green-winged Teal, four Ring-necked Ducks, two Snow Geese (Highland and Aberdeenshire), Black Brant (Dorset), Little Auk (Co.Durham), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall) and five Shorelarks (Norfolk). |

| In Norfolk, the adult Lesser White-fronted Goose was seen again, this time near Burnham Market. Further north, a Richardson's Cackling Goose was near Castle Stuart, Highland.
The Black-throated Thrush remained at Whipsnade Zoo, Bedfordshire, as did the Eastern Stonechat sp at Hollesley, Suffolk, and the Steller's Eider made a reappearance on Papa Westray, Orkney. Scarcity highlights included a Hoopoe, two Great Grey Shrikes, three Yellow-browed Warblers, 12 Lapland Buntings, a Grey Phalarope, three Rough-legged Buzzards, a Little Auk, a Snow Goose, a Black Brant, eight Taiga Bean Geese, an American Wigeon, four Green-winged Teals, nine Ring-necked Ducks, a Ring-billed Gull, two Iceland Gulls and three Glaucous Gulls. |

| Highlight of the day was the continued presence of the male
Black-throated Thrush in Bedfordshire, whilst Eastern Stonechat
(Suffolk), Blue-winged Teal and Long-billed
Dowitcher (Devon) and Richardson's Cackling Goose
(Western Isles) also lingered. The best of the rest comprised Hoopoe (North Yorkshire), Purple Heron (Lancashire), Lesser Snow Goose (Highland), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Green-winged Teal (Northumberland), Lapland Bunting (Lincolnshire), Great Grey Shrike (South Yorkshire), two Yellow-browed Warblers, Rough-legged Buzzards and Tundra Bean Geese, four Taiga Bean Geese, five Ring-necked Ducks and six Shorelarks. |

| Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today comprised the Eastern Stonechat
still in Suffolk, Blue-winged Teal in Devon, two Richardson's Cackling Geese together on the Western Isles, and
Long-billed Dowitchers in both Cumbria and Northumberland. Scarcities included Purple Heron (Lancashire), Ring-necked Duck (Essex), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), Yellow-browed Warbler (North Yorkshire), and two each of Green-winged Teal, Great Grey Shrike and Glossy Ibis. |

| New rarities today comprised a Black-throated Thrush in Bedfordshire at Whipsnade Zoo,
Penduline Tit in London at Crossness and on the Isles of Scilly a Dusky Warbler
on St Mary's. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were a Forster's Tern in County Galway,
Eastern Stonechat in Suffolk and Long-billed Dowitchers in Cumbria, Devon and Northumberland. Scarcities included Purple Heron (Lancashire), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Ring-necked Duck (West Yorkshire), American Wigeon (County Galway), two each of both Rough-legged Buzzard and Great Grey Shrike, and seven Shorelarks (together in Norfolk). |

| Notables today were Long-billed Dowitchers still in both Devon and Northumberland,
Purple Heron and Ring-necked Duck still n Lancashire, Green-winged Teal in Ayrshire,
Lapland Bunting in Norfolk, and Rough-legged Buzzards in Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk. A total of 119 Waxwings was recorded with the majority in Elgin, Moray. |
