New rarities today comprised a Black-throated Thrush in Bedfordshire at Whipsnade Zoo,
Penduline Tit in London at Crossness and on the Isles of Scilly a Dusky Warbler
on St Mary's. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were a Forster's Tern in County Galway,
Eastern Stonechat in Suffolk and Long-billed Dowitchers in Cumbria, Devon and Northumberland. Scarcities included Purple Heron (Lancashire), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Ring-necked Duck (West Yorkshire), American Wigeon (County Galway), two each of both Rough-legged Buzzard and Great Grey Shrike, and seven Shorelarks (together in Norfolk). |

Tuesday 10th December 2019 | ||

Notables today were Long-billed Dowitchers still in both Devon and Northumberland,
Purple Heron and Ring-necked Duck still n Lancashire, Green-winged Teal in Ayrshire,
Lapland Bunting in Norfolk, and Rough-legged Buzzards in Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk. A total of 119 Waxwings was recorded with the majority in Elgin, Moray. |

Rarities today comprised the Eastern Stonechat still in Suffolk, Blue-winged Teal in Devon and
Long-billed Dowitchers in Cumbria, Devon and Northumberland. Scarcities included Purple Heron (Lancashire), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), Lesser Snow Goose (Aberdeenshrire), Glossy Ibis and Sabine's Gull (Kent), three Ring-necked Ducks and four Yellow-browed Warblers. |

Rarities today comprised Bonaparte's Gulls new in both County Donegal at Killybegs
and County Durham at Whitburn, the Eastern Stonechat still in Suffolk,
Coues's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, Lesser Scaup in Cornwall and Long-billed Dowitchers in both Devon and Northumberland. Scarcities included Purple Heron and Ring-necked Duck (Lancashire), Surf Scoter (Conwy), Glossy Ibis (Kent), Snow Goose (Western Isles), and three each of Ring-billed Gull, Rough-legged Buzzard and Yellow-browed Warbler. |

Rarities today comprised the Hermit Thrush still on the Isles of Scilly,
Snowy Owl on the Orkney Isles, Eastern Stonechat in Suffolk, Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire, and in Devon both
the Blue-winged Teal and Long-billed Dowitcher remained. Scarcities included Purple Heron (Lancashire), American Golden Plover (County Clare), Lesser Snow Goose (Aberdeenshire), Ring-necked Duck (Dorset), Ring-billed Gull (County Kerry), two Rough-legged Buzzards and three Glossy Ibises. |

Rarities today comprised the Steller's Eider still on the Orkney Isles, Hermit Thrush on the Isles of Scilly,
Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Eastern Stonechat
in Suffolk, Blue-winged Teal in Devon and Long-billed Dowitchers in Cumbria, Northumberland and County Wicklow. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Cornwall), Richard's Pipit (Norfolk), Surf Scoter (Conwy), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Snow Goose (Western Isles), Ring-billed Gull (County Kerry), three each of both Rough-legged Buzzard and Glossy Ibis, four Yellow-browed Warblers and a total of nine Ring-necked Ducks. Significant late news concerned a Wilson's Phalarope seen yesterday near Ballyllongford, County Kerry. |
