| Rarities today comprised the Pied-billed Grebe still on the Shetland Isles,
Bonaparte's Gull in London, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (County Durham), Yellow-browed Warbler (Isle of Wight), Rough-legged Buzzard (Kent), Lapland Bunting (Derbyshire), three each of Ring-necked Duck and Surf Scoter, four Great Grey Shrikes, six Shorelarks and a total of nine Glossy Ibises. |
