Saturday 22nd December 2018  
  In Pembrokeshire the American Royal Tern was relocated on the Gann Estuary, having last been seen on Anglesey on 11th December. Unfortunately the bird was only present on the Gann for a short period mid morning.

Elsewhere rarity highlights comprised Desert Wheatear (Isles of Scilly), Lesser Yellowlegs (Somerset), Ferruginous Duck (Hampshire), Dusky Warbler (Dorset) and Lesser Scaup (Anglesey).

The best of the rest included Rose-coloured Starling (Derbyshire), White-tailed Eagle (Hampshire), White Stork (Norfolk), two Richard's Pipits, American Wigeons and Rough-legged Buzzards and four Ring-necked Ducks.

Friday 21st December 2018  
  Rarity highlights comprised Long-billed Dowitcher (Lincolnshire) and Lesser Scaup (Anglesey).

The best of the rest included Richard's Pipit (Co Durham), Rose-coloured Starling (Derbyshire), flock of six Taiga Bean Geese (Cleveland), Glossy Ibis (Co Wexford), Great Grey Shrike (Kent), Ring-billed Gull (Co Kerry), White Stork (Norfolk), White-tailed Eagle (Hampshire), two Surf Scoters, two American Wigeons, three Shorelarks, 11 Tundra Bean Geese and 64 Cattle Egrets.

Thursday 20th December 2018  
  Rarities today comprised the Desert Wheatear still on the Isles of Scilly, Penduline Tit in Dorset, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall, Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire, Richardson's Cackling Goose and White-billed Diver on the Western Isles.

Scarcities included Richard's Pipit and Temminck's Stint (both Cornwall), Hoopoe (County Tyrone), Rough-legged Buzzard (Bedfordshire), Surf Scoter (Devon), Glossy Ibis (Somerset), two each of Rose-coloured Starling, Great Grey Shrike and American Wigeon, three Ring-necked Ducks, 28 Shorelarks, 46 Cattle Egrets and a total of 359 Waxwings.

Wednesday 19th December 2018  
  Rarities today comprised a White-billed Diver on the Orkney Isles at Loch of Stenness, Mainland, and in Hampshire the Ferruginous Duck remained at Bedhampton.

Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (County Durham), Rough-legged Buzzard (North Yorkshire), White-tailed Eagle (Hampshire), Surf Scoter (Devon), American Wigeon (Leicestershire), Ring-billed Gull (County Louth), two each of Rose-coloured Starling, Ring-necked Duck and Lapland Bunting, 36 Shorelarks, 68 Cattle Egrets and a total of 305 Waxwings.

Tuesday 18th December 2018  
 

Lingering rarities included the Desert Wheatear on St. Agnes, Scilly, and the Ferruginous Duck at Bedhampton, Hampshire, while the Lesser Yellowlegs in Somerset reappeared at Steart.

Scarcities included White-tailed Eagle (Hampshire), 21 Taiga Bean Geese, 11 Tundra Bean Geese, an American Wigeon, four Ring-necked Ducks, four Glaucous Gulls, an Iceland Gull, four Pomarine Skuas, 47 Little Auks (all past Sumburgh Head, Shetland), a Great Grey Shrike, 30 Shorelarks, 204 Waxwings and 36 Cattle Egrets.

Monday 17th December 2018  
  Lingering rarities seen today included the Desert Wheatear on St Agnes, Scilly, Penduline Tit in Weymouth, Dorset, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Wells, Norfolk, Long-billed Dowitcher at Frampton, Lincolnshire and Ferruginous Duck at Bedhampton, Hampshire.

Scarcity highlights included a Richard's Pipit, a Great Grey Shrike, a Lapland Bunting, two Rose-coloured Starlings, 32 Shorelarks, approximately 635 Waxwings, a White-tailed Eagle, two Glossy Ibises, a White Stork, a Temminck's Stint, an American Wigeon, three Surf Scoters, six Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, seven Tundra Bean Geese, 24 Taiga Bean Geese, a Ring-billed Gull, three Glaucous Gulls, four Iceland Gulls and a Pomarine Skua.

Sunday 16th December 2018  
  New discoveries today included the returning Pacific Diver at Crookhaven, County Cork and a Ferruginous Duck at Bedhampton, Hampshire.

Lingering rarities included the Desert Wheatear in Scilly, Black Scoter in County Kerry, Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford and White-billed Diver in Western Isles.

Scarcity totals were a Richard's Pipit, a Lapland Bunting, two Rose-coloured Starlings, six Great Grey Shrikes, 43 Shorelarks, approximately 269 Waxwings, a Temminck's Stint, two Grey Phalaropes, two Surf Scoters, four Ring-necked Ducks, four American Wigeon, a Black Brant, a Todd's Canada Goose, 12 Tundra Bean Geese, 24 Taiga Bean Geese, a Glossy Ibis, a White-tailed Eagle, a Glaucous Gull, a Kumlien's Gull and eight Iceland Gulls.

Saturday 15th December 2018  
  A Desert Wheatear was found at Periglis, St Agnes, Isles of Scilly, whilst the Bufflehead lingered at Ballinacarriga Lough, County Cork and single Coues's Arctic Redpolls were seen at Thorne Moors, Yorkshire and Fontburn Reservoir, Northumberland.

Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Great Grey Shrike, 34 Shorelarks, 53 Waxwings, an American Wigeon, ten Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, ten Tundra Bean Geese, 31 Taiga Bean Geese, a White-tailed Eagle, three Rough-legged Buzzards, a Glossy Ibis, a Ring-billed Gull, four Iceland Gulls, six Glaucous Gulls and five Little Auks.

Friday 14th December 2018  
  Rarity highlights included Penduline Tit (Dorset), Lesser Scaup (Anglesey and Somerset), Bufflehead (Co Cork), at least one Dusky Warbler (Dorset), Black Scoter (Northumberland) and at least one Coues's Arctic Redpoll (Norfolk).

The best of the rest comprised White-tailed Eagle (Hampshire), Richard's Pipit (Lothian), two American Wigeons, three Rose-coloured Starlings, five Ring-necked Ducks and ten Shorelarks.

Thursday 13th December 2018  
  A second Dusky Warbler joined the long staying bird at Chickerell, Dorset today, whilst late news from yesterday concerned a Black-throated Thrush which was present at Bishopstone, Wiltshire.

Lingering rarities included the White-rumped Sandpiper in Sussex and Red-rumped Swallow in Cornwall.

Scarcity highlights included a Hoopoe, a Richard's Pipit, a Great Grey Shrike, two Rose-coloured Starlings, eight Shorelarks, approximately 104 Waxwings, a Grey Phalarope, a Black Brant, six Taiga Bean Geese, 38 Tundra Bean Geese, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, two Iceland Gulls, three Glaucous Gulls and three Rough-legged Buzzards.
