Scarcity sightings included Pallas's Warbler (Norfolk), Richard's Pipit (Devon), Todd's Canada Goose (Cumbria), Canada Goose (Western Isles), American Wigeon (Lancashire), Green-winged Teal (Gloucestershire), Surf Scoter (Co Clare), Grey Phalarope (Dumfries & Galloway), Balearic Shearwater (Cornwall), two Ring-necked Ducks and Great Grey Shrikes, at least four Lapland Buntings, six Rough-legged Buzzards, a reported flock of 35 Shorelarks (Norfolk) and approximately 260 Waxwings. |

| Lingering rarities still present today included the Little Bittern at Saltholme RSPB, Cleveland, Bufflehead at Ballinacarriga Lough, County Cork, Bonaparte's Gull at Bamburgh, Northumberland, King Eider at Ynyslas, Ceredigion and Lesser Scaup at Chew Valley Lake, Somerset.
Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Rose-coloured Starling, 28 Shorelarks, 222 Waxwings, a Rough-legged Buzzard, a Temminck's Stint, a Grey Phalarope, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teals, a Todd's Canada Goose, two Tundra Bean Geese, three Taiga Bean Geese, a Ring-billed Gull, two Iceland Gulls, three Glaucous Gulls and 12 Little Auks. |

| Lingering rarities present today were just the Bufflehead at Ballinacarriga Lough, County Cork and the Lesser Yellowlegs at Lodmoor RSPB, Dorset.
Scarcity highlights included a Richard's Pipit, a Great Grey Shrike, 99 Waxwings, a Little Auk, two Rough-legged Buzzards, a Ring-necked Duck, a Taiga Bean Goose, five Tundra Bean Geese and two Iceland Gulls. |

| Rarities today comprised the Bufflehead still in County Cork, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland and
Lesser Scaup on Anglesey. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Norfolk), Rose-coloured Starling (Derbyshire), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Ring-necked Duck (Lincolnshire), Hoopoe and Lesser Snow Goose (Highland), two Rough-legged Buzzards, three American Wigeons, six eaxch of both Shorelark and Lapland Bunting, 50 Cattle Egrets and a total of 261 Waxwings. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Bufflehead in County Cork at Ballinacarriga Lough; a site that that had hosted five
Ring-necked Ducks the previous day. Elsewhere a Little Bittern was glimpsed in Cleveland at Saltholme RSPB, a
Lesser Scaup was identified in Somerset at Chew Valley Lake, a Coues's Arctic Redpoll
was trapped and ringed in West Yorkshire at Wintersett Reservoir and on the Shetland Isles a White-billed Diver was located at Kirkabister. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Hume's Warbler in Devon, a Dusky Warbler in Dorset, Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Dorset and County Londonderry, King Eider in Ceredigion and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Norfolk), Richard's Pipit (East Yorkshire), American Wigeon (Worcestershire), Temminck's Stint and Dotterel (Cornwall), two each of both Hoopoe and Great Grey Shrike, three of Rose-coloured Starling and Ring-necked Duck, four Rough-legged Buzzards, 24 Shorelarks, 109 Cattle Egrets and 230 Waxwings. |

| Discoveries today included a Hume's Warbler in East Yorkshire at Kilnsea,
Penduline Tit in Norfolk at Haddiscoe Island, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in South Yorkshire at Hatfield Moors and in Northumberland the
Bonaparte's Gull was relocated at Bamburgh. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Pied-billed Grebe on the Shetland Isles, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Hume's Warbler in Devon, Dusky Warbler in Dorset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Lesser Yellowlegs and three White-rumped Sandpipers together in County Londonderry, King Eider in Ceredigion, Lesser Scaup on Anglesey and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in County Cork. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler and Lapland Bunting (Norfolk), Richard's Pipit (East Yorkshire), two each of both Rose-coloured Starling and Serin, four American Wigeons, five Rough-legged Buzzards, eight Ring-necked Ducks, 23 Shorelarks, 73 Cattle Egrets and a total of 280 Waxwings. |

| New discoveries included at least two Coues's Arctic Redpolls
at Fontburn Reservoir (Northumberland) and a White-billed Diver
off Barra (Western Isles), whilst the Hume's Warbler (Devon),
Lesser Yellowlegs (Co Derry, Co Wexford and Dorset),
Black Scoter (Northumberland), Richardson's Canada Goose
(Western Isles) and Coues's Arctic Redpolls (Norfolk
[2] and South Yorkshire) all lingered. Scarcity sightings included Serin (Isles of Scilly), Richard's Pipit (East Yorkshire), Lapland Bunting (Kent), two Rose-coloured Starlings, Yellow-browed Warblers and Green-winged Teals, three Ring-necked Ducks, Great Grey Shrikes and American Wigeons, five Rough-legged Buzzards and Surf Scoters, 20 Taiga Bean Geese and at least 37 Shorelarks. |

| Discoveries today included a Hume's Warbler in Devon at Berry Head and a
Dusky Warbler in Dorset at Abbotsbury Swannery. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Snowy Owl still on the Orkney Isles, three Coues's Arctic Redpolls and a King Eider in Norfolk and the Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset. Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (East Yorkshire), Hoopoe (Cornwall), Great Grey Shrike (Suffolk), two each of Rose-coloured Starling, Rough-legged Buzzard and American Wigeon, three Surf Scoters, four Shorelarks, six Parrot Crossbills in England, 54 Cattle Egrets and a total of 308 Waxwings. |

| Rarities today comprised both Pacific Diver and Dusky Warbler in Cornwall,
Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and
Lesser Scaup on Anglesey. Scarcities included Barred Warbler (Cumbria), Serin (Cornwall), Rose-coloured Starling (Suffolk), Common Rosefinch (Shetland Isles), Lesser Snow Goose (Highland), Night Heron (Cleveland), Ring-necked Duck and Glossy Ibis (Devon), two Richard's Pipits, three each of both American Wigeon and Great Grey Shrike, six Rough-legged Buzzards, 26 Shorelarks and a total of 44 Cattle Egrets. |
