Ring-necked Ducks the previous day. Elsewhere a Little Bittern was glimpsed in Cleveland at Saltholme RSPB, a
Lesser Scaup was identified in Somerset at Chew Valley Lake, a Coues's Arctic Redpoll

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Norfolk), Richard's Pipit (East Yorkshire), American Wigeon (Worcestershire), Temminck's Stint and Dotterel (Cornwall), two each of both Hoopoe and Great Grey Shrike, three of Rose-coloured Starling and Ring-necked Duck, four Rough-legged Buzzards, 24 Shorelarks, 109 Cattle Egrets and 230 Waxwings. |
