| A report of an adult Audouin's Gull on the Gannel Estuary
(Cornwall) was today's most significant news, whilst a Laughing Gull
was reported in Aberdeenshire. The Horned Lark
(Surrey), Pacific Divers (Cornwall and Co Cork),
Spotted Sandpiper (Nottinghamshire), Coues's Arctic Redpoll
(Suffolk) and Long-billed Dowitcher (Kent) all
lingered. The best of the rest included Little Bunting (London), Richard's Pipit (Gloucestershire), Lesser Snow Goose (Moray), two American Wigeons, eight Waxwings, nine Shorelarks (Norfolk), at least nine Glossy Ibises and at least 15 Parrot Crossbills. |

in Gloucestershire, Spotted Sandpiper in Nottinghamshire and Long-billed Dowitcher in Kent. Scarcities included Little Bunting (London), Rose-coloured Starling (East Yorkshire), Richard's Pipit (Gloucestershire), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), Temminck's Stint (West Sussex), Lesser Snow Goose (Moray), two Ring-billed Gulls, six each of both Ring-necked Duck and American Wigeon, 10 Glossy Ibises, and in England a total of 25 Parrot Crossbills between Berkshire, Hertfordshire and Norfolk. |

Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Suffolk, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, and in Somerset both Lesser Scaup and Ferruginous
Duck. Scarcities included Little Bunting (London), Lesser Snow Goose (Moray), two American Wigeons, three Richard's Pipits, four Ring-billed Gulls, five Ring-necked Ducks and eight Glossy Ibises. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a juvenile Thayer's Gull in Hampshire in the afternoon gull rosost at Ibsley Water. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Horned Lark still in Surrey, Snowy Owl on the Isles of Scilly, Pacific Diver in County Cork, Stilt Sandpiper in Dorset, Spotted Sandpiper in Nottinghamshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Kent, Penduline Tit in Gloucestershire, Coues's Arctic Redpolls in Norfolk (3) and Suffolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon and Ferruginous Duck in Somerset. Scarcities included Little Bunting (London), Rose-coloured Starling (East Yorkshire), Richard's Pipit (Gloucestershire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Dorset), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), Temminck's Stint (West Sussex), Lesser Snow Goose (Moray), two Surf Scoters, three American Wigeons, four Ring-billed Gulls, six Ring-necked Ducks, nine Glossy Ibises, and in England a total of 17 Parrot Crossbills between Berkshire and Surrey. |

Scarcity highlights included a Richard's Pipit, a Little Bunting, a Lapland Bunting, 11 Shorelarks, 20 Parrot Crossbills, 23 Waxwings, a Temminck's Stint, five Glossy Ibises, an American Wigeon, four Green-winged Teal, four Ring-necked Ducks, five Surf Scoters, a Lesser Snow Goose, a Black Brant, six Tundra Bean Geese, a Rough-legged Buzzard, a Kumlien's Gull, three Ring-billed Gulls, 41 Glaucous Gulls and 54 Iceland Gulls. |
