Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (East Yorkshire), Ring-billed Gull (Hampshire), two each of both American Wigeon and Snow Goose, six Glossy Ibises, and in England a total of 31 Parrot Crossbills between Berkshire, Derbyshire, Hertfordshire and Suffolk. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery in North Yorkshire of the second Desert Wheatear of the autumn at Whitby where it had first been seen - but not identified - six days ago. Elsewhere, lingering rarities comprised the Penduline Tit still in Gloucestershire, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Suffolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Long-billed Dowitcher in Suffolk. Scarcities included Temminck's Stint (West Sussex), Ring-necked Duck (County Wexford), two each of Surf Scoter (together in Conwy), American Wigeon, Ring-billed Gull and Glossy Ibis, and in England a total of 37 Parrot Crossbills between Berkshire, Derbyshire, Hertfordshire and Suffolk. |

Gyr again briefly in County Durham, Penduline Tit still in Gloucestershire,
Stilt Sandpiper and Lesser Yellowlegs both still in Dorset, Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, and
Coues's Arctic Redpolls in both Suffolk and West Yorkshire. Scarcities included Barred Warbler (Hampshire), Richard's Pipit (Suffolk), American Golden Plover (Suffolk), Temminck's Stint (West Sussex), Lesser Snow Goose (Aberdeenshire), two each of both Ring-necked Duck (Essex and Wiltshire) and Surf Scoter (Carmarthenshire and County Meath) and seven Parrot Crossbills still in England (four in Derbyshire and three in Hertfordshire). |

Durham and the reappearance of the Snowy Owl in Cornwall.

The best of the rest included Temminck's Stint (West Sussex), Richard's Pipit (Lothian), Rose-coloured Starling (East Yorkshire), two Waxwings (Fife), two Glossy Ibises, two Ring-necked Ducks, three American Wigeons and Parrot Crossbills in Berkshire (18), Derbyshire (12), Suffolk (6) and Hertfordshire (3). |

Lingering rarities included the Stilt Sandpiper and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Long-billed Dowitcher in Kent, Pied-billed Grebe in Shetland, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Suffolk and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall. Scarcity highlights comprised a Barred Warbler, a Richard's Pipit, a Waxwing, a Great Grey Shrike, two Shorelarks, five Lapland Buntings, 26 Parrot Crossbills, a Temminck's Stint, two Surf Scoters, three Ring-necked Ducks, four American Wigeon, four Green-winged Teals, a Todd's Canada Goose, three Little Auks, three Glossy Ibises, a Ring-billed Gull, four Glaucous Gulls and 14 Iceland Gulls. |
