| The highlight of the day was the discovery of the first Pacific Diver for Devon in Tor Bay off Broadsands and present until dusk; the fourth individual seen
between Britain and Ireland this winter. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were the Blue Rock Thrush in Wiltshire, Pacific Diver in Northumberland, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Hume's Warbler in Dorset, Red-flanked Bluetail in Glamorgan, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Clyde, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Hudsonian Whimbrel and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Red-breasted Goose in Lancashire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, two Richardson's Cackling Geese together in Argyll, and White-billed Divers on both the Orkney Isles and the Shetland Isles. Scarcities included Bluethroat (Lincolnshire), Serin (East Sussex), Ring-billed Gull (Pembrokeshire), American Wigeon (Fife) and Lesser Snow Goose (Lancashire), two each of Rose-coloured Starling, Rough-legged Buzzard, Surf Scoter and Yellow-browed Warbler, three Little Buntings, four Glossy Ibises, five Ring-necked Ducks, 10 Great Grey Shrikes, 12 Lapland Buntings, 39 Shorelarks, 44 Cattle Egrets, and a total of 121 Tundra Bean Geese. |

Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, King Eider in County Kerry and two Richardson's Cackling Geese

Scarcities included Bluethroat (Lincolnshire), Little Bunting (Bedfordshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Devon), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), two each of Richard's Pipit, Snow Goose and Glossy Ibis, three each of American Wigeon and Ring-necked Duck, four Ring-billed Gulls, five Great Grey Shrikes, 22 Cattle Egrets, 40 Lapland Buntings and 48 Shorelarks. |

| In Highland the Siberian Accentor remained in Highland at an undisclosed site near Invergordon, with other Scottish rarities today comprised the American Coot still on the Western Isles, the
Killdeer still on the Shetland Isles, and the Hooded Merganser still in Clyde with two
Coues's Arctic Redpolls identified at nearby Hamilton. Elsewhere, lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Blue Rock Thrush in Gloucestershire, Pacific Diver in Northumberland, Hudsonian Whimbrel and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Red-breasted Goose in Lancashire, Bonaparte's Gull in County Cork and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset. Scarcities included Bluethroat (Lincolnshire), Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), Richard's Pipit (Gloucestershire), Rough-legged Buzzard (Cambridgeshire), Glossy Ibis (Cambridgeshire), Lapland Bunting (Bedfordshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Devon), two each of Little Bunting and Snow Goose, three each of American Wigeon, Great Grey Shrike and Kumlien's Gull, five each of Ring-billed Gull and Ring-necked Duck, 36 Cattle Egrets, and a total of 77 Shorelarks. |

| In Ireland a King Eider was at Castlegregory in County Kerry and a
Bonaparte's Gull was at Kennedy Quay, Cork.
Lingering rarities included the Red-flanked Bluetail in Glamorgan, Blue Rock Thrush in Gloucestershire, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Hume's Warbler in Dorset, Hooded Merganser in Clyde, Pacific Diver in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Hudsonian Whimbrel and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Red-breasted Goose in Lancashire, Bonaparte's Gull in Clyde, Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire and White-billed Divers in Lothian and Orkney. Lingering rarities comprised Blue Rock Thrush in Gloucestershire, Pacific Diver in Northumberland, Northern Harrier and White-billed Diver on the Orkney Isles, Red-flanked Bluetail in Glamorgan, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Hume's Warbler and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Red-breasted Goose in Lancashire, Hudsonian Whimbrel and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham. Scarcities included Bluethroat (Lincolnshire), Little Bunting (Bedfordshire), Serin (East Sussex), Kumlien's Gull (County Waterford), two each of both Surf Scoter and Richard's Pipit, three Ring-necked Ducks, five each of American Wigeon and Great Grey Shrike, six Ring-billed Gulls, seven Yellow-browed Warblers, 45 Lapland Buntings, 53 Cattle Egrets, and a total of 73 Shorelarks. |

Scarcities included Little Bunting (Devon), Serin (East Sussex), Surf Scoter (Conwy) and Green-winged Teal (Dorset), two each of Rose-coloured Starling, Rough-legged Buzzard, Ring-necked Duck, Yellow-browed Warbler, Ring-billed Gull and Kumlien's Gull, three American Wigeons, six Great Grey Shrikes, 25 Cattle Egrets, 33 Lapland Buntings and a total of 54 Shorelarks. |
