Sunday 13th March 2016  
  Rarities today comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel and Lesser Scaup both still in Cornwall, Long-billed Dowitcher in Leicestershire, Penudline Tits in Cleveland (2), Essex and Gloucestershire (2), King Eider in County Wexford, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Hoopoe (West Midlands), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), two each of both Rough-legged Buzzard and Cattle Egret, three of Richard's Pipit, Shorelark, Ring-billed Gull, Surf Scoter and American Wigeon, four Snow Geese (together in Aberdeenshire), five Glossy Ibises, 13 Great Grey Shrikes and 14 Lapland Buntings.

Incoming summer migrants included 11 Wheatears, seven Sand Martins and two White Wagtails.

Saturday 12th March 2016  
  Lingering rarities seen today included the Glaucous-winged Gull in County Cork, Hudsonian Whimbrel, American Herring Gull and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Penduline Tits in Hampshire and Cleveland (two), single Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire, Northumberland and Hampshire, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Cumbria, King Eider in Fife and Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan.

Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, two Yellow-browed Warblers, a Hoopoe, a Rose-coloured Starling, three Richard's Pipits and at least five Ring-billed Gulls.

Friday 11th March 2016  
  A female Hooded Merganser was discovered on the Dudley Canal at Halesowen, West Midlands today, whilst a Richardson's Cackling Goose was located at Whitrigg, Cumbria.

Lingering rarities still present today included the Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, two Penduline Tits in both Cleveland and Hampshire, single Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire, Northumberland and Hampshire and a Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan.

Thursday 10th March 2016  
  Lingering rarities comprised Hudsonian Whimbrel (Cornwall), Glaucous-winged Gull (Co Cork), Long-billed Dowitchers (Leicestershire and Northumberland), King Eider (Fife) and Penduline Tits (Gloucestershire).

The best of the rest included Hoopoe (West Midlands/Staffordshire), Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), Richard's Pipits (East Yorkshire), two Ring-necked Ducks, three Ameican Wigeons and three Glossy Ibises.

Wednesday 9th March 2016  
  Lingering rarities comprised Long-billed Dowitcher (Northumberland), Lesser Scaup (Glamorgan) and White-billed Diver (Highland). The best of the rest included Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), Shorelark (Northumberland), Ring-necked Duck (Somerset), two American Wigeons and three Glossy Ibises.

Tuesday 8th March 2016  
  Rarities today comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel still in Cornwall, two Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire, Long-billed Dowitchers in both Leicestershire and Northumberland, White-billed Diver in Highland, and a Northern Long-tailed Tit in Kent.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Hoopoe (West Midlands), Ring-necked Duck (Somerset), Suf Scoter and American Wigeon (both North Yorkshire), two each of Rough-legged Buzzard and Cattle Egret, three of both Shorelark and Great Grey Shrike, and five of Ring-billed Gull, Lapland Bunting and Glossy Ibis.

Monday 7th March 2016  
  Lingering rarities included two Penduline Tits (Gloucestershire), Hudsonian Whimbrel, Pacific Diver and Lesser Scaup (Cornwall), American Herring Gull (Western Isles), Long-billed Dowitcher (Leciestershire), Northern Long-tailed Tit (Kent), King Eider (Fife) and Ferruginous Duck (Hampshire).

The best of the rest included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Hoopoe (West Midlands/Staffordshire), Yellow-browed Warblers (Cornwall), Glossy Ibis (Essex), two Cattle Egrets and three Richard's Pipits.

Sunday 6th March 2016  
  Rarities today comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel, American Herring Gull and Lesser Scaup all still in Cornwall, two Penduline Tits and the Long-billed Dowitcher in Hampshire, King Eider in County Wexford, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan, single Ferruginous Ducks in both County Durham and West Yorkshire, two Richardson's Cackling Geese together in Argyll, and four Northern Long-tailed Tits together in Kent.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Hoopoe (West Midlands), Yellow-browed Warbler (Pembrokeshire), Cattle Egret (Suffolk), two each of both Richard's Pipit and Shorelark (together in Cleveland), three of American Wigeon, Rough-legged Buzzard, Ring-billed Gull and Glossy Ibis, four of Lesser Snow Goose (still together in Aberdeenshire), Surf Scoter and Ring-necked Duck, and eight each of both Great Grey Shrike and Lapland Bunting.

Early migrants comprised single Sand Martins in Glamorgan and Gloucestershire, and an Osprey in Cheshire.

Saturday 5th March 2016  
  An adult Franklin's Gull was discovered in Cornwall today, at Siblyback Lake, where the long staying Lesser Scaup was also present.

Also in Cornwall, the Hudsonian Whimbrel remained at Perranuthnoe and the American Herring Gull roosted at Mousehole, with other lingering rarities including the Glaucous-winged Gull in County Cork, two Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire, single Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire and Northumberland, another American Herring Gull in the Western Isles, single Richardson's Cackling Geese in County Sligo and Argyll, King Eider in County Wexford, another Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan and single Ferruginous Ducks in Yorkshire and County Durham.

Scarcity highlights included singles of Pallas's Warbler, Hoopoe, Shorelark and Surf Scoter, two each of Yellow-browed Warbler, Richard's Pipit and Cattle Egret, three each of Ring-necked Duck and Glossy Ibis, four Lapland Buntings, five American Wigeons, six Green-winged Teals and eight Great Grey Shrikes. Gull totals were 29 Iceland, 14 Caspian, 11 Glaucous, seven Ring-billed and a single Kumlien's.

Friday 4th March 2016  
  A group of six Northern Long-tailed Tits was reported from Bockhill Farm, Kent.

The Black Scoter was reported from Bamburgh, Northumberland, whilst other lingering rarities included the American Herring Gull on Barra, Western Isles, two Penduline Tits at Titchfield Haven NNR, Hampshire, Long-billed Dowitcher at Rutland Water, Leicestershire, Lesser Scaup at Cosmeston Lakes Country Park, Glamorgan and Ferruginous Duck at Pugneys Country Park, Yorkshire.
