Saturday 6th February 2016  
  A Lesser Scaup was discovered in Belfast, County Antrim, and the identity of the Long-billed Dowitcher at Wanlip, Leicestershire was confirmed, having been present for at least two days.

Lingering rarities seen today included the Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, two Penduline Tits in both Gloucestershire and Cleveland, Gyr in the Western Isles, Pallid Harrier and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk (with others of the latter still in Buckinghamshire and Hampshire), Coues's Arctic Redpoll and Long-billed Dowitcher in Northumberland, White-billed Diver in Orkney, Spotted Sandpiper in County Cork, Red-breasted Goose in Essex, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo and another Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan.

Friday 5th February 2016  
  New discoveries today included a smart juvenile American Herring Gull at Raghly, County Sligo and two Penduline Tits at Saltholme RSPB, Cleveland, whilst there was news of a Ferruginous Duck at Caldecotte Lake, Buckinghamshire which was present for its second day.

Lingering rarities seen today included the Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Greater Yellowlegs on the Isle of Wight, Black Scoter, Long-billed Dowitcher and Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Northumberland, Gyr in the Western Isles, two Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Pallid Harrier and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, another Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire and a Red-breasted Goose in Essex.

Thursday 4th February 2016  
  Lingering rarities included Hudsonian Whimbrel and Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Black Scoter, Coues's Arctic Redpoll and Long-billed Dowitcher in Northumberland, Pallid Harrier and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Glaucous-winged Gull in Co Cork, two Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire, Red-breasted Goose in Essex and Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan.

The best of the rest included Hoopoe (West Midlands/ Staffordshire), Richard's Pipit (Kent), Cattle Egret (Suffolk) and two Yellow-browed Warblers (Cornwall).

Wednesday 3rd February 2016  
  Lingering rarities included Pallid Harrier and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Coues's Arctic Redpoll and Long-billed Dowitcher in Northumberland, Penduline Tits in Hampshire (3) and Gloucestershire (2), Red-breasted Goose in Essex, King Eider in Fife, Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Co Sligo.

The best of the rest included Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), two Richard's Pipits and Leach's Petrel (East Yorkshire), Waxwing (Suffolk) and four Glossy Ibises.

Tuesday 2nd February 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of an American Herring Gull in Cambridgeshire at King's Dyke, Whittlesey.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the Greater Yellowlegs still on the Isle of Wight, both Pallid Harrier and Ferruginous Duck still in Norfolk, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Forster's Tern in County Galway, and Penduline Tits in both Gloucestershire (2) and Hampshire (3).

Scarcities included Hoopoe (West Midlands), American Wigeon (North Yorkshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall and Hampshire), Glossy Ibis (Cornwall and Suffolk), Cattle Egret and Waxwing (both Suffolk).

Monday 1st February 2016  
  Rarity highlights included Pallid Harrier and Ferruginous Duck (Norfolk), Penduline Tits (Gloucestershire) and Coues's Arctic Redpoll (Northumberland).

The best of the rest included Waxwing (Suffolk), Ring-necked Duck (Ayrshire), Glossy Ibis (Devon) and two American Wigeons.

Sunday 31st January 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the relocation of the Franklin's Gull briefly at Amwell, Hertfordshire; 34 miles to the south southeast of yesterday's sighting. Elsewhere, rarities comprised the Glaucous-winged Gull in County Cork, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Gyr on the Western Isles, Pallid Harrier on the Orkney Isles, Black Scoter, Coues's Arctic Redpoll and Long-billed Dowitcher in Northumberland, two Penduline Tits together in Gloucestershire, White-billed Diver on the Orkney Isles, Ferruginous Duck in County Durham, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo.

Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall and County Wexford), Hoopoe (West Midlands), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall and Hampshire), Snow Goose (Cumbria and Galloway), American Wigeon (Highland, North Yorkshire and Somerset), a total of five Glossy Ibises, and 21 Caspian Gulls.

Signficant late news from yesterday concerned a Laughing Gull in Cumbria at Walney Island, and in Devon a King Eider at The Skern, although neither could be found today.

Saturday 30th January 2016  
  A Franklin's Gull was found in the roost at Fen Drayton Lakes RSPB, Cambridgeshire this evening.

Lingering rarities included the Hudsonian Whimbrel, Pacific Diver, American Herring Gull and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Glaucous-winged Gull in County Cork, Black Scoter, Coues's Arctic Redpoll, and Long-billed Dowitcher in Northumberland, two Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, two King Eiders in County Sligo (present for the last eight days), Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford, Ferruginous Duck in County Durham and another Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan.

Friday 29th January 2016  
  A Bonaparte's Gull was discovered in Dunnet Bay, Highland.

Lingering rarities seen today included the Glaucous-winged Gull in County Cork, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire.

Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Kumlien's Gull, a Waxwing, a Cattle Egret, two Richard's Pipits and two Glossy Ibises.

  Lingering rarities included Black Scoter and Long-billed Dowitcher (Northumberland), Hudsonian Whimbrel, American Herring Gull and Lesser Scaup (Cornwall), Lesser Scaup (Glamorgan), Lesser Yellowlegs and Pallid Harrier (Norfolk), Franklin's Gull (Co Kerry) and Penduline Tits (Gloucestershire).

The best of the rest included three Richard's Pipits (East Yorkshire), Serin (Norfolk), Hoopoe (West Midlands/Staffordshire) and Yellow-browed Warblers (Cornwall and Hampshire).
