| The highlight of the day was the continued presence of the Crag Martin in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, where it showed for much of the day. Rarities elsewhere comprised
the Gull-billed Tern still in County Kerry, and single Long-billed Dowitchers in both County Dublin and Northumberland. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Cornwall), American Golden Plover (Cornwall), American Golden Plover (Western Isles), Shorelark (East Yorkshire), Rough-legged Buzzard (Essex), Yellow-browed Warbler (Anglesey), Ring-necked Duck (Perthsire), Snow Goose (Cumbria) and Glossy Ibis (Gloucestershire), two each of Red-necked Phalarope and Lapland Bunting, three Cattle Egrets (toegther in Devon), five Great Grey Shrikes and seven Waxwings. |
