| New discoveries today included a White-billed Diver in Bluemull Sound,
Shetland and a Pallid Swift near Wolla Bank, Lincolnshire.
Lingering rarities included the Hudsonian Whimbrel and American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Arctic Warbler and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Gloucestershire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk and Pallid Harrier in Lincolnshire. Scarcity highlights were singles of Red-breasted Flycatcher, Serin, Waxwing, Richard's Pipit, Ring-necked Duck and Surf Scoter, two each of Great Grey Shrike, Yellow-browed Warbler, Rough-legged Buzzard, Glossy Ibis, Lapland Bunting and Bean Goose and three each of Pomarine Skua and Little Auk. |

| The highlight of the day was a brief Blyth's Pipit at Spurn, East Yorkshire. Elsewhere, confirmed rarities comprised a
Dusky Warbler new on the Shetland Isles on Unst, the Hudsonian Whimbrel
still in Cornwall, Pallid Harrier again in Lincolnshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Gloucestershire,
Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Lesser Scaup
in County Kerry, and the Arctic Warbler was reported again in County Durham. Notable scarcities were Ortolan Bunting (Shetland Isles), Serin (Devon), Little Bunting (County Donegal), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Cattle Egret (County Wexford), two each of American Golden Plover, Rough-legged Buzzard, Ring-necked Duck, Yellow-browed Warbler and Waxwing, three Glossy Ibises and seven Great Grey Shrikes. Inconclusive sightings included a probable Black-and-white Warbler briefly in Worcestershire, and single swifts in Cumbria, Lothian and Glamorgan, with at least the latter thought likely to be Pallid Swift. |

| The highlight of the day was confirmation of a Pied Wheatear in Suffolk at Landguard, where it has first been glimpsed there
yesterday: the third record for the county. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel still in Cornwall, Arctic Warbler in County Durham, Olive-backed Pipit on the Shetland Isles, Greater Yellowlegs on the Isle of Wight, Gull-billed Tern in County Kerry, Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan, and a Penduline Tit briefly in Suffolk Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Norfolk), Red-breasted Flycatcher (County Cork), Glossy Ibis (Essex), Barred Warbler and Surf Scoter (Lothian), two each of Serin, American Golden Plover and Ring-necked Duck, three Rough-legged Buzzards, four Cattle Egrets, five Richard's Pipits, eight Great Grey Shrikes and 16 Yellow-browed Warblers. |

| An Arctic Warbler was discovered in Co Durham today, whilst the
Hudsonian
Whimbrel (Cornwall), Lesser Yellowlegs (Norfolk),
Ferruginous Duck (Co Durham), Forster's Tern
(Co Galway), Gull-billed Tern (Co Kerry), Long-billed Dowitcher (Hampshire) and
Northern
Harrier (Orkney) all lingered. The best of the rest included Pallas's Warbler (Suffolk), American Golden Plover (East Yorkshire), Red-backed Shrike (Aberdeenshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Essex), Ortolan Bunting (Shetland) and two Red-breasted Flycatchers (Co Waterford and Co Cork). |

| The highlight of the day was another Pallid Swift, today in Cleveland at Boulby. Rarities elsewhere comprised both
Red-flanked Bluetail and Dusky Warbler in Kent, Gull-billed Tern and Lesser Scaup in County Kerry,
Long-billed Dowitcher in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk,
single White-rumped Sandpipers in both Aberdeenshire and Northumberland, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan,
Ferruginous Duck in County Durham, and Northern Harrier still on the Orkney Isles. Scarcities included at total of eight Cattle Egrets, six Richard's Pipits, four Glossy Ibises, three each of Red-breasted Flycatcher, American Wigeon and Ring-necked Duck, two of both Serin and American Golden Plover, single Purple Heron and Shorelark (both Norfolk), Barred Warbler and Surf Scoter (both Lothian), Wryneck (Devon), Pectoral Sandpiper (County Wexford) and Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall). |

| The highlight of the day was the arrival on three separate Pallid Swifts on the northeast coast of England: in East Yorkshire at Flamborough Head, County Durham at Whitburn, and Northumberland at Newbiggin. Otherwise, new rarities comprised a Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler in Dorset at Durlston Head, and in Cornwall a
Blyth's Pipit flew over Nanjizal. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Greater Yellowlegs on the Isle of Wight, Red-flanked Bluetail and Dusky Warbler in Kent, Dusky Warbler in County Cork and the Isles of Scilly, Northern Harrier on the Orkney Isles, Gull-billed Tern in County Kerry, Long-billed Dowitcher in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, White-rumped Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan, Ferruginous Duck in County Durham, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll. Scarcities included seven Glossy Ibises, six of both Pallas's Warbler and Rough-legged Buzzard, five Richard's Pipits, four of Barred Warbler and Cattle Egret, three of American Golden Plover and American Wigeon, two each of Marsh Warbler, Serin, Little Bunting and Red-breasted Flycatcher, and single Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), Red-backed Shrike (Cleveland), Surf Scoter (Lothian) and Pectoral Sandpiper (Orkney Isles). |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall at Marazion. Elsewhere, new rarities comprised a
Dusky Warbler on the Shetland Isles on Unst, and a Ferruginous Duck at Washington, County Durham. In Gloucestershire the
Semipalmated Sandpiper reappeared at Slimbridge. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Pallid Harrier in County Mayo, Black Scoter in County Kerry, Northern Harrier on the Orkney Isles, Long-billed Dowitcher in Hampshire, White-rumped Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, and single Dusky Warblers in both Kent and the Isles of Scilly. However, the Chestnut Bunting had gone from Papa Westray, Orkney Isles. Scarcities included five Pallas's Warblers, four Cattle Egrets, three Serins, two each of both American Wigeon and Glossy Ibis, Little Bunting (Dorset), Red-breasted Flycatcher (Cleveland), American Golden Plover (East Yorkshire), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Shorelark (Suffolk), Barred Warbler and Rose-coloured Starling (both Cornwall). |

| New discoveries today included a Lesser Yellowlegs at Breydon Water,
Norfolk, an Olive-backed Pipit at Land's End, Cornwall, a Pallid
Harrier at Gibraltar Point NNR, Lincolnshire and an Azorean Yellow-legged
Gull at Kilvington, Nottinghamshire.
Lingering rarities included the Chestnut Bunting and Northern Harrier in Orkney, Penduline Tit in Suffolk, single Dusky Warblers in County Cork, Kent and the Isles of Scilly, Pallid Harrier in County Mayo, Gull-billed Tern in County Kerry, Long-billed Dowitcher in Hampshire, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Donegal and Lesser Scaup in County Kerry. The best of the rest were singles of Red-breasted Flycatcher, Ortolan Bunting, Little Bunting, Rose-coloured Starling, Surf Scoter, American Wigeon and Grey Phalarope, two each of Richard's Pipit, Black Brant, Green-winged Teal and Little Auk, three each of American Golden Plover and Lapland Bunting, four Rough-legged Buzzards, five Glossy Ibises, seven Pallas's Warblers, nine Great Grey Shrikes, 12 Bean Geese, 14 Pomarine Skuas and 16 Yellow-browed Warblers. |

| New discoveries today included a Dusky Warbler at Knockadoon Head,
County Cork (potentially just the 11th record for Ireland, the 8th for County
Cork) and a White-billed Diver past Lamba Ness, Unst, Shetland.
Lingering rarities included the Chestnut Bunting and Northern Harrier in Orkney, Pallid Harrier and Arctic Warbler in County Mayo (with another of the former in Lincolnshire), Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler in Yorkshire, Dusky Warbler and Radde's Warbler in the Isles of Scilly (with another of the former in Kent), Olive-backed Pipit in Shetland, Gull-billed Tern in County Kerry, American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Long-billed Dowitcher in Hampshire and Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan. Scarcity totals included singles of Ortolan Bunting, Rose-coloured Starling and American Wigeon, two each of Red-breasted Flycatcher, Serin, Barred Warbler, Rough-legged Buzzard, Glossy Ibis and Ring-necked Duck, three each of Richard's Pipit and American Golden Plover, seven Pomarine Skuas, nine Great Grey Shrikes, 10 Pallas's Warblers, 11 Little Auks and 35 Yellow-browed Warblers. |
