| Today's rarities comprised Black Storks in East Sussex and
East Yorkshire, Greenish Warbler on Orkney, Ferruginous
Duck and Lesser Scaup in Somerset and breeding
Bee-eaters in Cumbria. The best of the rest included Common Rosefinch (Orkney), White-winged Black Tern (Kent), Surf Scoter (Angus), Pectoral Sandpiper (Lancashire), American Wigeon (Northumberland), two Hoopoes, three Barred Warblers, four Cattle Egrets, five Red-backed Shrikes and at least eight Wrynecks. |
