| New discoveries included a Subalpine Warbler species at
Flamborough Head (East Yorkshire) and Citrine Wagtail on Fair
Isle (Shetland). Elsewhere, rarity sightings comprised Black Storks
in East Sussex and Lincolnshire, Lesser Scaup and
Ferruginous Duck in Somerset ,
Red-footed Falcon in Lincolnshire and Bee-eaters
in Cumbria. The best of the rest included Kentish Plover (Dorset), Common Rosefinch (Shetland), Night Heron (West Yorkshire), Temminck's Stint (Nottinghamshire), two Hoopoes, two White-winged Black Terns, two Pectoral Sandpipers, three Cattle Egrets, four Icterine Warblers, seven Barred Warblers, ten Red-backed Shrikes and 20 Wrynecks. |
