  Rarity sightings included the Harlequin Duck in Aberdeenshire, American Coot and Black Scoter in Co Kerry, Bonaparte's Gulls in Glamorgan and Devon, Lesser Scaup in Cornwall and Glamorgan, Forster's Tern in Co Galway and Lesser Yellowlegs in Co Clare. In Cornwall the Pacific Diver lingered in Mount's Bay whilst another was reported off Pendower Beach.

The best of the rest included Rose-coloured Starling (Northumberland), two Serins and three Richard's Pipits.

Saturday 31st January 2015  
  Rarities today comprised the Harlequin Duck still in Aberdeenshire, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Black Scoters in both County Kerry and Northumberland, three Penduline Tits together in Devon, Laughing Gull in County Cork, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Lesser Yellowlegs in East Sussex, King Eiders in Aberdeenshire and Cornwall, Lesser Scaups in Cornwall and Glamorgan, Ferruginous Ducks in Gloucestershire and Hampshire, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo.

Scarcities included Rose-cloured Starling (Northumberland), Night Heron (County Cork), Shorelark (Lancashire), two each of Serin (together in Essex), Cattle Egret (together in Kent) and Surf Scoter, three of Richard's Pipit and Ring-necked Duck, four each of American Wigeon and Lapland Bunting, nine Rough-legged Buzzards, 11 Great Grey Shrikes, 14 Tundra Bean Geese, 31 Waxwings and 33 Little Auks. Notable gulls included 30 Glaucous, 20 Iceland, 13 Caspian, six Ring-billed and five Kumlien's.

Friday 30th January 2015  
  Rarities today comprised both the Harlequin Duck and King Eider in Aberdeeenshire, American Coot on the Western Isles, Black Scoter in Northumberland, three Penduline Tits in Devon, Lesser Yellowlegs in East Sussex, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, and, in Cornwall, Pacific Diver, King Eider and Lesser Scaup.

Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (Dorset), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), Night Heron (County Cork), Glossy Ibis (County Waterford), two each of both Ring-necked Duck and Cattle Egret, four American Wigeons, five each of Surf Scoter, Rough-legged Buzzard and Great Grey Shrike, seven Waxwings and 15 Tundra Bean Geese. Notable gulls totals were 31 Glaucous, 12 Iceland, eight Ring-billed, seven Caspian and two Kumlien's.

Thursday 29th January 2015  
  New discoveries comprised a Pacific Golden Plover in Lincolnshire and American Herring Gull on Western Isles, whilst King Eiders in Shetland, Aberdeenshire and Cornwall, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire and Ridgway's Cackling Goose in Dumfries & Galloway were also logged.

The best of the rest included Rose-coloured Starling (Northumberland), two Cattle Egrets (Kent), two Serins (Essex), two Richard's Pipits and four American Wigeons.

Wednesday 28th January 2015  
  A King Eider was found off St Combs, Aberdeenshire today, and the Ridgway's Cackling Goose in Dumfries and Galloway was refound at Stranraer.

Lingering rarities included the Harlequin Duck in Aberdeenshire, King Eider and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, three Penduline Tits in Devon and Ross's Goose in Northumberland.

Tuesday 27th January 2015  
  In the Isles of Scilly, a Black Duck was discovered on the Great Pool on Tresco. This is presumably the individual seen briefly on Samson on the 19th. Nearby in Cornwall, a King Eider was south of Maenporth, near Falmouth.

Lingering rarities present today included the Harlequin Duck in Aberdeenshire, American Coot and Black Scoter in County Kerry, another Black Scoter in Northumberland, Pacific Diver and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall (with further Lesser Scaups in Glamorgan and Ayrshire), three Penduline Tits and a Bonaparte's Gull in Devon and Ferruginous Duck in Gloucestershire.

Significant news from Norfolk concerned a Little Bustard on Thursday, which was found dead at the side of a road at Blofield near Norwich.

Monday 26th January 2015  
  Lingering rare wildfowl included Harlequin Duck (Aberdeenshire), Black Scoters (Northumberland and Co Kerry), Ross's Goose (Northumberland) and Lesser Scaup (Cornwall, Ayrshire and Glamorgan), whilst Lesser Yellowlegs (East Sussex and Co Dublin), Laughing Gull (Co Cork) and White-billed Diver (Shetland) were also logged.

The best of the rest included Rose-coloured Starling (Northumberland), American Wigeons (Cornwall), Richard's Pipit (Kent), Night Heron (Co Cork), Shorelark (Lancashire) and Yellow-browed Warblers (Devon and Cornwall).

  Lingering rarities seen today included the American Coot and Black Scoter in County Kerry, another Black Scoter and a Ross's Goose in Northumberland, Pacific Diver and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Blue-winged Teal in Orkney, other Lesser Scaups in Powys and Ayrshire, Ferruginous Duck in Gloucestershire and Lesser Yellowlegs in Sussex.

Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, two Richard's Pipits, two Yellow-browed Warblers, five American Wigeon, five Ring-necked Ducks and nine Surf Scoters.

  Newly discovered today was a Ross's Goose at Red Row, Northumberland.

Lingering rarities included the Harlequin Duck in Aberdeenshire, American Coot, Black Scoter and two Lesser Scaups in County Kerry, American Coot and Richardson's Cackling Goose in the Western Isles, Pacific Diver and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Black Scoter reported in Northumberland, single Lesser Scaups in Cornwall, Glamorgan and Ayrshire, Blue-winged Teal in Orkney, single Lesser Yellowlegs' in Sussex, County Clare and County Dublin, Laughing Gull in County Cork and Bonaparte's Gull in Devon.

  Lingering rarities seen today included the Pacific Diver and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Black Scoter in County Kerry and three Penduline Tits in Devon.

Scarcities comprised a Rose-coloured Starling, a Richard's Pipit, a Night Heron, a Little Auk, an American Wigeon, a Surf Scoter, two Yellow-browed Warblers, two Ring-necked Ducks, five Shorelarks, nine Rough-legged Buzzards, 13 Great Grey Shrikes and 16 Waxwings.
