| Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today comprised both the Western Sandpiper and
Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Greater Yellowlegs in Highland, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper and
Lesser Scaup in Somerset, Least Sandpiper in County Kerry, Desert Wheatear in Northumberland,
Penduline Tit in Kent, King Eider in Moray, Spotted Sandpiper in Devon,
Lesser Scaup in Gloucestershire, and single Glossy Ibises in both Essex and Lancashire. Scarcities included Bluethroat (County Waterford), Yellow-browed Warbler (Devon), Lesser Snow Goose (Argyll) and American Wigeon (Devon and Dumfries and Galloway). 117 Tundra Bean Geese were recorded across seven counties between Ayrshire, Staffordshire and Suffolk. |
